CBS finally found a use for their Australian investment. Another 50,000 soccer matches and they might just break even.
Pretty sure the investment is sound. In the last reported earnings, 10 was making a profit (despite what the media will have you believe).
Looks like 10 did the world English feed:

Given it was being made in Chinese or Argentinian I donât see why 10 wouldnât have used their own graphics.
Is 10 still doing the Winter Festival of Football again this year or was it a one-off in 2022.
10 may telecast the two matches at Optus Stadium next month (West Ham v Perth Glory on July 15 and Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham on July 18), especially with Ange Postecoglou now the manager of the Spurs.
That will be forever, as long as they have more than a couple of friendlies to show.

WHY MAKE THIS EXCLUSIVE TO 10PLAY WHATâS THE POINT OF PARAMOUNT+?!?!?!?!?!
Probably so those not into the A-League and not subscribed to Paramount+ can watch for free and maybe get a few more P+ subscribers. I subscribe to P+ because Iâm a football fan and like the A-League but will watch Victoryâs game on replay. In the overall scheme of things the Austrlian Cup is not very important.
Also, the Australia Cup features a lot of teams outside of the A-League, so it wouldnât be particularly fair on those fans to make them pay to watch their local side play in the cup if they canât get to the game.
I know, I 100% agree that it should be on 10Play but why not put it also on P+?
The financials probably donât make sense. Most of the games likely get very little viewership, and adding it to P+ wouldnât do a heap to bump those numbers or drive subscriptions.
So youâre saying thereâs no reason not to put them on? Even just as replays. I pay for P+ I want as much football as 10 have got.
Iâm saying there is no business case to do so. Take a look at the ratings for last yearâs final, it rated poorly, and the BVOD numbers would have been in the low 5 figures nationally. And that is the biggest game in the competition. The early rounds are going to have viewership numbers far lower than that, and the amount of people wanting to watch on a paid streaming service would be lower still.
Certainly the reason I donât sub to P+, because there streatigy is crap. They put games all over the place. I wonât of know an Australian Cup match was on tonight if I didnât read it here. Why donât they just chuck everything on P+ in a football section and if they want to dangle a few carrots for selected games also show it on 10play. Donât piss off paying customers
