Clare Polkinghorne Medal Launched to Celebrate Standout Ninja A-League Women’s Player.

Network 10, Paramount+ And Ninja, Honour Excellence In The A-League Women’s Competition.

Paramount+ and Network 10, in partnership with Ninja, are proud to announce the launch of the Clare Polkinghorne Medal, a major new honour recognising the standout player of the Ninja A-League Women’s season.

Named after one of the most respected figures in Australian football, the medal reflects the strength, growth, and global influence of the Ninja A-League Women’s competition - a league that continues to shape world-class talent.

A CommBank Matildas’ legend, Clare Polkinghorne is Australia’s most-capped international footballer, representing the nation 169 times across an extraordinary career. She has been a defining presence in the national team for nearly two decades. At club level, Polkinghorne spent more than a decade with Brisbane Roar, establishing herself as one of the league’s most reliable and decorated defenders.

The Clare Polkinghorne Medal mirrors the Alex Tobin Medal, also presented by Ninja, which celebrates the breakout player in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s competition. The winners of both the Men’s and Women’s medals for the 2025/26 season will each receive $30,000 and will nominate a junior football club to receive $10,000 worth of products, as part of Ninja’s support for grassroots football.

Clare Polkinghorne said: “It’s an incredible honour to have a medal named after me, especially in a league that has shaped so many players - including my own career. The Ninja A-Leagues Women’s competition continues to produce world-class talent, and I’m thrilled that this award will spotlight the players who drive the game forward every single week. I’m also proud that with thanks to Ninja, the medal will give back to grassroots football, because that’s where every journey begins.”

Adam Cush, Director of Sport Paramount ANZ said "Clare Polkinghorne is synonymous with football in Australia through her achievements at both club and international level. To have her as the ambassador for a medal championing the achievements of players in this star-making competition is an exciting new addition for this season”.

Zoe Wendland, Ninja Marketing & Communications Director said: “We’re proud to support the Ninja A-League Women’s competition as it continues to grow. If our involvement helps increase visibility or keep great players in the game, that’s a win for everyone.

“As the presenting partner of both the Clare Polkinghorne Medal and the Alex Tobin Medal, we’re able to celebrate excellence across the entire A-League, supporting the players, clubs and communities that help the game grow on and off the pitch.”

The Ninja A-League Women’s competition remains a crucial pathway to the international stage and one of the most successful women’s leagues in developing elite talent. Many of Australia’s biggest football names spent formative years in the league before becoming stars of the global game. The introduction of the Clare Polkinghorne Medal celebrates this tradition of excellence and champions the players who continue to elevate the league’s standard.

The inaugural Clare Polkinghorne Medal will be presented at the 2026 Ninja A-League Grand Final, with full coverage across Paramount+ and Network 10. The award forms part of Paramount’s ongoing commitment to elevating women’s sport, supporting football communities, and celebrating the players who inspire fans around the country.

If the Matildas fail to reach the Asian Cup final, will it mean the match will only be available on Paramount+ ?

No, it’s confirmed to be on 10 Drama regardless of who’s playing.

It’s only fair, even if they didn’t give one or both teams a linear broadcast before then.

G Flip Reimagines Rock Anthem To Fire Up AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™.

Paramount+, The Exclusive Home Of Every Match Kicking Off On 1 March.

As Australia is set to deliver an unforgettable chapter in women’s football with the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™, Paramount+ and ARIA Award-winning artist G Flip have reworked the rock classic All Fired Up, unveiling a bold new anthem for the tournament.

The track, which was initially written and released by Aussie rock band Rattling Sabres in the 80s, later became a chart-topper when US singer Pat Benatar recorded it the following year.

With Paramount+ streaming every match live and exclusively, All Fired Up will provide the soundtrack to the entire competition, resonating from the opening kick-off through to the final whistle.

With the first match kicking off with the CommBank Matildas taking on the Philippines in Perth on 1 March, this energising track is set to unite fans and players alike, amplifying the atmosphere and celebrating every moment of what promises to be one of the most memorable Women’s Asian Cups to date.

For Paramount+, the anthem embodies the same spirit and passion that defines this landmark event, aiming not only to unite fans but also to inspire genuine progress in the lives of female athletes.

A portion of the royalties from the song will be donated to Women Onside, an organisation dedicated to promoting gender equality in Australian football for almost a decade, ensuring that its impact reaches far beyond the pitch.

To celebrate the anthem’s launch, G Flip performed All Fired Up live at Endeavour Sports High School in Sydney today, a public school that lives and breathes sports and produces elite football talent, including Young Tillies who have represented Australia, and students competing in national and international leagues.

“I’ve been a lifelong fan and supporter of women’s sports and always want to get involved wherever I can. Getting the opportunity to create an anthem for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup is really exciting,” said G Flip.

“Representation in all forms is so important, so I hope moments like the AFC Women’s Asian Cup inspires young people to follow their dreams and for everyone to get around women’s sports.”

Matilda’s veteran Chloe Logarzo-Berryhill was pumped to join G Flip at the school to meet and chat with future stars of the game.

“I spent years representing Australia with the Tillies, so getting to meet these young players who could one day be wearing that jersey feels like a beautiful way to kick off the Asian Cup,” Chloe said.

“After G gets us all fired up, maybe we’ll head out to the field for a game,” she added.

Louise Crompton, VP Marketing and Growth, Paramount+, said this marks a significant milestone for the country and for women’s sport, highlighting how support continues to build year after year.

“We wanted to create something bold, punchy and impactful to champion the tournament, reflecting the way enthusiasm for women’s sport keeps gaining momentum and inspiring even more fans to get behind the game.

“We’re seeing a new wave of support for women’s sport, and Paramount+ is proud to be the place where fans can watch every match and be part of it as it unfolds.”

As teams prepare to arrive and fans countdown to kick-off, All Fired Up is already setting the tone for a tournament that promises big moments both on and off the pitch.

Paramount+ is the exclusive home of every match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™. Don’t miss a minute of the CommBank Matildas campaign live from Sunday, March 1 at 8.00pm (AEDT).

*All CommBank Matildas matches will be live on 10 and 10 Streaming.
