Australia, are you ready? The Subway Socceroos are charging back onto the pitch for two crucial FIFA World Cup 2026⢠Qualifiers and the only place to catch every thrilling moment is on Network 10, 10 Play, and Paramount+.
It all begins this Thursday when the green and gold light up Perth in a high-stakes showdown against Asian heavyweights Japan. With Japan already punching their ticket to the World Cup, the pressure is on the Socceroos to deliver a statement performance and edge closer to automatic qualification for what would be their sixth consecutive FIFA World Cup⢠appearance.
The action kicks off at 8.30pm AEST, live and free on 10 and 10 Play, with streaming available on Paramount+ (please check below for your local kick-off times).
But the battle doesnât end there. The Socceroos will then head to enemy territory to take on their closest rival Saudi Arabia in what looms as a potential eliminator on Wednesday, 11 June, with exclusive coverage kicking off at 3.45am AEST on Paramount+.
Will the Socceroos clinch their World Cup dreams or face the gauntlet of the fourth-round qualifiers? One thingâs for sure, itâs going to be edge-of-your-seat football, and you wonât want to miss it.

Could 10 get the World Cup
Well 10 and Paramount+ have secured the rights to 2027 Womenâs World Cup. I think the 2030 Menâs World Cup is still up for grabs. Surely 10 and Paramount+ would want to go for it.
Probably but not for the amount the APL wants to sell it for.
A last-minute goal to Australia for the win around 11pm AEST should be good at keeping viewers up late.
Main channel broadcast finished in Perth at 9.16pm local time, with Tara Rushton telling viewers to switch to P+ for the post-match show (which stays on 10 in other regions).
The debut of Airport 24/7 followed the football on main channel in Perth.
The soccer was the number two football code in all markets except Perth where it was number 1 (AFL had 30,000)!
5 City | Syd | Mel | Bri | Ade | Per | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Soccer | 335,000 | 116,000 | 104,000 | 42,000 | 27,000 | 47,000 |
Wonder why 10 couldnât have used Bold then
Once 10 decided to show Australia v Japan on main channel in all states, 10 Bold continued with its umpteenth repeat of NCIS.
Another bright spark from 10 there⌠truly. They could live without that repeat.
