Ok, thank you for that. The FA Cup was also on ESPN at one time as I hated the news ticker running along the bottom of the screen during the matches. I also remember watching Champions and Europa Leagues on beIn sports at one time before it moved to Stan Sports.
Rogue pick up by P+ but seems theyâre just not active in picking up a variety of sports and comps to broaden the offering. They so apathetic in trying to drive growth.
Probably donât have the money!
The Central Coast Mariners documentary The Greatest Little Club on Earth has been made available on 10 play.
Canât say I recall seeing any promotion of this âParamount+ Originalâ last year
On behalf of all Newcastle Jets supporters - yeah fucking right. Greatest Little Club on Earth my arse.
Believe this was announced today, the Matildas are set to take on Korea Republic in a two-match international friendly series this April.

Date: Monday, 7 April 2025
Kick-off: 7:30pm AEST
Venue: McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle

I thought all home matches of both teams would be broadcast on 10 & not P+ exclusive
as part of the agreement 10 can only show a limited amount friendlies for both Socceroos and Matildas as stated below:
- All CommBank Matildas and Subway Socceroos International Friendlies 2025 to 2028 (15 CommBank Matildas Friendlies on Network 10, all matches on Paramount+ and 10 Subway Socceroosâ Friendlies on Network 10, all matches on Paramount+).
- More than 100 international football games featuring either the CommBank Matildas or Subway Socceroos will be telecast live with at least 50 games on free-to-air television.
Can only? I thought they only wanted to show a number of them on 10, to make P+ a bit more of a value proposition for subscribers.
The agreement is there so at least half of them are accessible to FTA viewers and ensure maximum exposure and reach.
The ones on 10 are usually more favourable to home matches and friendly timezones too.
I donât think Football Australia would be standing in the way of 10 increasing the reach of their games (and their sponsors).
10/Paramount would have an incentive to increase Paramount+ viewership though (or not show it on 10 because theyâve got something else theyâd rather show in that time slot but I doubt thatâs at play here).
10 Play will stream live all matches involving Australia at the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup, which will be held around Shenzhen, China, from February 12 to March 1. The Young Socceroos are in Group A alongside China, Kyrgyzstan and Qatar. 10 Playâs coverage starts with the tournamentâs opening match between the Young Socceroos and Kyrgyzstan on February 12.
The A-Leagueâs virtual advertising partner flew to New Zealand on Monday to further investigate the technical issues and ensure that the error is not repeated at the next Wellington Phoenix game.
The advertising partner may not have realised that 8Xbet has disappeared, according to a report from early January.
With the announcement of the Australian Championship today, will the games come October be broadcast?
Does anyone know if it is part of Football Australiaâs overall deal with Paramount?
Like most things Australian footballâŚgod only knows.
Canât even do a 2nd division properly.
Football Australia announced the renewal of a broadcast deal with Paramount last year, however, Johnson confirmed on Wednesday that this did not include the Australian Championship nor the Round of 32 and 16 of the Australia Cup.
The Australia Cup final and semifinal will be on Channel 10 and the Round of 32 and 16 of the Australia Cup and the second tier will be in market to go to another broadcaster,â said Johnson. âWhat weâve done for all of those competitions, though, is we will be producing the matches, so weâve taken on that responsibility.
Interesting that Australia Cup may have two different broadcasters through the stages, while the Australian Championship rights could go to another network if they are interested.
If the ABC wants to return to televise some live sport, this could be the best chance, as Football Australia is producing the coverage.
Almost sounds like they want a different broadcaster
Itâll probably be SBS. Like back in the old days of the NSL, since weâre letting these old dinosaur clibs back in.
Could Nine/Stan fill the void? They were/are looking at EPL via acquiring Optus Sportâmaybe these FA rights could serve as an entry point for them to prove themselves and build a case for broadcasting the A-Leagues, etc.
