Isuzu UTE A-League Semi Finals. Live And Exclusive On 10 Bold, 10 Play And Paramount+.

The Isuzu UTE A-League semi-finals are here.

The first week of the Isuzu UTE A-League finals on the weekend left us hungry for more with the Sky Blues getting the job done against Macarthur while Victory’s heroic performance saw them see off City at the death. The Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2024 finals series will now enter the two-legged semi-finals stage, and you can catch every heart stopping goal on 10 Bold, 10 Play and Paramount+.

The first leg of the semi-finals are beckoning with Sydney FC set to host newly instated Premiers Central Coast Mariners on Friday before Melbourne Victory take on Wellington Phoenix in Sunday’s affair.

The first semi-final this Friday night has Ufuk Talay’s Sky Blues coming up against the mighty Mariners with proceedings set to get underway from 7.00pm AEST on 10 Bold, 10 Play and Paramount+. The Mariners preparation has not been ideal with Mark Jackson’s side returning to Australia on Tuesday night following their epic AFC Cup win in Oman. But it’s Sydney FC who face the tough task of beating the A-League premiership winners without the club’s best player Joe Lolley thanks to a season ending hamstring injury sustained during Saturday’s elimination final match.

We will be back at AAMI Park on Sunday as Wellington Phoenix take on Melbourne Victory with coverage kicking off at 3.00pm AEST live and free on 10 Bold, 10 Play and Paramount+. In what is sure to be a battle of giants, the two sides have met on three occasions already this season, with the first two clashes ending in 1-1 stalemates while their most recent meeting saw the Phoenix come out on top 1-0.

The Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2024 semi-finals will be telecast in Australia live on 10 Bold and streamed exclusively on 10 Play and Paramount+, with the exception of the second leg of the semi-final between Wellington and Melbourne Victory, which will be streamed exclusively on Paramount+.

Am curious to know what the APL are thinking about 10’s new NBL deal considering it’ll result in a Sunday afternoon game airing on the main channel whereas the A-League won’t have main channel exposure.

Hasn’t it been on 10Bold after it didn’t rate well? But if they wanted main channel exposure for a new deal they won’t get it

Yep - my point is more around the Sunday afternoon game that currently airs on 10Bold. Always thought it was a mistake for the APL not to insist that game air on the main channel and now the NBL has taken advantage.

Would be intriguing to know if there’s out clauses for 10 to bump it to a multichannel.

You’d have to think so, right? Like if it’s bringing down their schedule and a poor lead-in to news they’d be forced to dump it to Peach again.

Probably by that time we might actually see another 10 multi go HD.

There’s less interest for the NBL than there is for the A-League. If the NBL does start off on 10 on a Sunday afternoon, and as a lead-in to the 5pm News, then i can see it bumping to 10Peach within weeks.

The A-League aired on 10 on Saturday nights, with dismal ratings. It then moved to 10Bold at the end of last year. When ratings were available for the multi-channels until early this year, it made a few appearances. So too low for the main channel, but “good enough” for 10Bold. The Sunday afternoon matches on 10Bold failed to make any impact though.

what is going to happen when 10 has sporting commitments to show that should take precedent over NBL. For example, Aus MotoGP, Aus F1 and maybe Matildas. Will those games be shown on delay or 10 have the ability to show 2 games in a week as a compromise.

Matildas rarely play on Sunday afternoons so there’s no issue.

Next year’s Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix will take place on March 16, a few weeks after the NBL season ends, thus there is no clash.

The only thing 10 will be worried about is this year’s Australian MotoGP which will be held on October 20.

Has the NBL released when the season officially gets underway.

Word is the ALM season may not start until after that so bumping one to Bold won’t be an issue for HD.

Just of note an NBL game goes for a 2 hour block, so won’t be a direct lead in to the 5pm news, so they can have a repeat of Good Chief Bad Chief as a lead in if they want (like they are right now)
