Netflix’s engineers have reimagined the encoding algorithm to optimise video playback for subscribers.
The new algorithm adapts in real time to adjust the bitrate of the video, based on the viewer’s device and network capabilities.
This means streamers can access uninterrupted streaming regardless of limitations or network speed.
Netflix said the breakthrough has resulted in videos buffering 40 per cent less, as well as faster streaming.

The renewal news comes just 12 days after the release of Season 1. The teen drama is currently No. 1 on Netflix’s Global English Top 10 TV List, and has reached the Top 10 in 88 countries.
What is it with US shows on Netflix. Obliterated for example.
As IMDB puts it “Only mild female nudity but explicit gratuitous and exploitative male nudity”
There was another show similar a year ago … US seems ok with males being fully nude not females?
What is the problem? As long as the show/movie is classified appropriately.
Women have done the majority of nudity on TV and movies for decades, and still do. There has been a number of shows/movies recently that feature male frontal nudity - but most have used prosthetics so it is still fake. There is only one natural frontal in Obliterated the rest are fake and obviously so.
I am presuming you are referencing Sex/Life as the other show, again very obvious prosthetics but just as much female nudity compared to the male nudity.
I appreciate Netflix is clearly the worlds biggest streaming platform and they have to program for a global audience. But so much of their content just feels a bit blerg…

Agree here aswell, alot of the content in that list seems a bit bland, basic. Especially for a behemoth service like Netflix
This is the kind of content i’d associate with FAST movie/show channels (except for a few, mostly licensed stuff).

Boy Swallows Universe is fantastic.
Few minor issues due to budget (such as modern buildings and or cars in the background of some shots.

Yeah I noticed in the background during the tomato sauce being smeared all over Eli scene there was a Hyundai iLoad van in the background which could’ve really easily been avoided.
I was impressed however with how many older cars they were able to get for a number of scenes though, especially going over the Story Bridge etc.
Fantastic little show, really enjoyed it.
