Neighbours Turns 35 In 2020 And Brings Back The Stars To Celebrate!

A big birthday calls for a big celebration, and a big announcement. And we’ve gone big. Huge. Enormous. Well, you get the drift.

In March 2020, Australia’s longest running drama, Neighbours , will celebrate another birthday when it turns 35.

To celebrate, we’ve made some calls to our favourite Ramsay Street residents from over the decades and asked them to come back for some very special episodes.

So take a seat, and have a read of this star studded bunch of Neighbours alumni who are coming back to Ramsay Street.

Stephanie McIntosh (Sky Mangel), Bruce Samazan (Mark Gottlieb), Melissa Bell (Lucy Robinson), Olympia Valance (Paige Smith), Paul Keane (Des Clark), Andrew Morley (plays Jack Callahan), Annie Jones (Jane Harris), Damien Bodie (Dylan Timmins) and Scott McGregor (Mark Brennan) will all return to celebrate.

While we can’t reveal too much about what some of our old favourites will be getting up to when they return to Erinsborough, we can promise there will be reunions, romance, reminiscing, scores will be settled, secrets revealed and so much delicious drama!

Executive Producer of Neighbours , Jason Herbison said: “ Neighbours has a reputation for going big with our anniversary milestones and the 35th will be no exception. We’re thrilled to be joined by an honour-roll of returnees, chosen to represent a cross section of past eras of the show. Together we’re in the midst of filming our most ambitious storylines ever and I can’t wait for viewers to see what we have in store.”

Network 10 Executive Producer of Neighbours , Paul Leadon, said: “35 years on Ramsay Street is certainly worth celebrating. We’ve seen romance, drama, births, weddings, feuds, even murders! But above all, we’ve enjoyed a cavalcade of memorable characters. And many of our favourites will be returning to Erinsborough to join the big birthday party. It will be a lot of fun.”

And if you think we’re done with these big announcements, think again. We have lots more to tell you as we prepare to take a walk down memory lane in celebration of 35 wonderful and iconic years of Neighbours .

It’s great how Neighbours regularly brings back former characters, but even better when they celebrate major milestones by including former characters. Any show that lasts 35 years definitely needs respect.

TV Week is reporting that guestie Bridget Neval (Lana Crawford) will also be back.

what about Lou Carpenter and Harold? They haven’t been killed off, have they??

Not yet but Harold has been back a couple of times including the 30th anniversary and again since then. Lou only left a couple of years ago.

With so many coming back. It’s got to be an event. Perhaps relaunch of Lassiters after its recent scandal.

Greg Fleet needs to come back to take out a few more beloved characters.

No Amy…

…or Gary.

…or Yashvi or Bea.

I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere but buried in this article was talk at Ten for moving Neighbours back to Ten at 6pm. The first time i’ve ever seen anything official about moving Neighbours back to the main channel.

Not much confidence in their product.

Just pragmatic.

10 has dropped the afternoon replay of Neighbours on the main channel. I think it’s a temporary move.

Wish they’d air it at 4pm weekdays on 10 and keep the 10 Peach slot.
