Neighbours

Paul and Terese are married by an Elvis impersonator (Mark Andrew).

Also some funny scenes with Gary going on dates with Gail not knowing she is Paul’s ex-wife until Paul sent him the text telling him in the middle of a date :joy:
Looks like he might make the same mistake with Rebecca in tonight’s episode.
Lyn left in last night’s episode and it seems Gail will be around a while longer.

Some more of the dialogue from last night:

Terese: You’re a sad, angry woman.
Lyn: Oh!
Rebecca: I have to second that, actually Lyn. You did try and ruin our wedding as well. You just hate Paul.
Lyn: Of course I hate Paul but so do you. At least I’m honest about it.
Gail: Ladies, please. Remember why we’re here. It’s about Terese.
Rebecca: Yes and I have spent my life dedicated to helping women and what have you done? (to Lyn) Apart from saddle them with terrible haircuts.

Gail: How do you know Paul?
Gary: How do I know Paul? I was locked up because of Paul. I almost married his fiance.
Gail: Terese?
Gary: Yes and then I nearly married his daughter.
Gail: Well, um, that takes the shine off things a bit. Doesn’t it?

Sounds like a writer’s paradise!

In last night’s episode we did see a photo of Paul’s first wife Terry.

That leaves only one more ex-wife we need to see now.

We will see Paul’s third wife Christina starting on this Friday’s (6 September) episode.

It appears that Christina will be at the wedding.

More Neighbours.

Will this be shown here?

Yes.

Digital Spy can also confirm that Australian viewers will be able to watch via 10 Play.

it should be also on Peach. Perhaps a Neighbours hour.

They’re desperate for Aussie content on 10 Peach. You’d think they could find half an hour to screen the whole lot somewhere. Other web series get prime time slots.

It’s actually 5 x 22min episodes, so approx 2.5 hours worth of commercial content available.

Neighbours does well on catch-up, so I don’t mind the idea of commissioned content just for BVOD as long as they promote it well.

They have had other web only episodes before as well, I seem to recall Neighbours Summer Stories back in about 2016.

Yes, a half hour slot for five days. Why not run it alongside Neighbours or in an afternoon slot?

Still have it online. But, it can’t hurt to air it on Peach.

Interesting it is Channel 5 which commissioned Erinsborough High. Would 10 have done it?

Nope. She was in the first 10 minutes.
