Neighbours should’ve been invited even though they weren’t nominated. A lot of movies and stars at the Oscars if they weren’t nominated they would still get an invite and go.
They weren’t nominated because the show is ending in December. Filming already wrapped up last month. Seven could’ve invited them but chose not to.
Much of Neighbours was ignored at the Logies apart from a clip seen during a Magda Szubanski tribute. As they knew the show was ending they saw no need to invite the show to the awards, let alone it being nominated. They’d rather you forget it still even exists. Very disappointing act of Seven to not invite (or even make a mention of) a once again-dying show.
Was Seven in charge of the guest list? Much of the Logies event is outsourced and if anything it was probably up to Ten to decide if Neighbours talent would be invited as part of its allocation of seating.
The show has been back for a year and a half. Sadly, they weren’t nominated for that period either.
This Cara / Remi storyline is a bit stupid. Coupled with the Constable hottie / Helly storyline. All a bit odd.
Yes, after some great stories with the returns of Darcy, Chelsea and Jane’s mum Amanda, all tied together, the show seems to have pivoted into stupid territory now with those storylines and the return of Annalise as a hotel manager.
I think we’ve moved into the period beyond the initial two year Amazon contract and we are seeing the extra months of episodes they commissioned, before they pulled the plug. I wonder how much influence Amazon had in this odd direction.
Spinoff- Erinsborough News set in a Newspaper office and have Uni Fm Radio Station?
The Erinsborough News was already acquired by rival newspaper the West Waratah Star long ago.
Uni FM was the radio station at Eden Hills University.
Presumably a prequel then.
Hasn’t he already left?
Isn’t everyone leaving?
His last episode was last week but i guess the story was written to highlight his new role in Bloodaxe.
Casting news. Despite Neighbours ending in December, the show has quite a few new regular/guest cast members joining the show.
Elise Jansen began yesterday as a recast Elle Robinson. Dennis Coarde (ex-Home and Away) will play Monte Jones from today. Recent guest Jakob Ambrose, who played Colton Keys, is also joining the cast as a regular today.
Alex Kaan will play legacy character Zac Willis, last seen as the baby son of Gaby Willis.
And Gary Sweet (ex-Stingers, House Husbands) will play Cara’s father, Greg Murphy.
Good to see that there are new cast joining the show. As new characters, and as returning characters.
Some are there to fill the void as recent characters leaving the show. Byron recently, and Aaron yesterday.
Good riddance.
Nasty. They were two of the best characters in the current cast.
Opinion and not really. Subjective view. Aaron was more of a background character after David died.
