I read that the producers are allowing the cast time off to honour commitments made before the show returned.

There was an outdoor scene recently which was meant to be in summer but the characters had steam coming out of their mouths.

The actors are getting older so they’ve agreed to contracts which give them more time off. It’s kind of like when Harold and Lou were still regulars but they took breaks throughout the year.
You’ll also notice Paul does not appear in as many episodes as he used to. Stefan Dennis said that he was considering semi-retirement when Neighbours was axed last year. He agreed to come back if the workload was lessened so is on a different contract to some of the other regulars.

That executive producer has an obsession with same sex couples. Chloe and Elly, Varga/ Murphy, Nicolette and Kiri.
It shows a lack of creativity on his part.

How is it a “lack of creativity”? They’re all different.
Remi and Cara are lesbians who are married and have teenage children.
Chloe is bisexualand has had relationships with and marriad both men and women. Elly was straight until she met Chloe and fell in love with her.
Nicolette describes herself as queer and has had lesbian, non-binary and bisexual people. Kiri is queer.
I’d say that’s quite a creative bunch of characters. Please note that only three of them will be regulars in the show now.

You forgot David and Aaron. They’re also a same-sex couple on the show.
Cara and Remi are lesbians. David and Aaron are gay. This week, Chloe and Elly got married together, and have since moved away for their honeymoon (not sure if they’re returning at this point in time). Nicolette and Kiri were together, but Kiri hasn’t returned to this reboot of Neighbours.
Yes, their may only be “six households” on Ramsay Street. But there are a lot more characters nowadays, than what the show began with. Hence why it may seem to have more inclusion in the show. Also, times have involved.

It does seem a lot for one cul-de-sac in an Australian street. Especially if you throw MacKenzie into the mix.
Nothing wrong with it, just not sure its as common as the show would portray.

Probably true about most of the storylines in this one Australian cul-de-sac. 
So many neighbours dating and marrying each other so that all the familes and households are connected to each other. 
Not to mention the suspiciously high death toll.

Yes yes, I know. Just an observation I actually also had in addition to the post above.
I guess like any TV show you have to suspend disbelief to some extent. Like all the police shows that neatly solve crimes in one week or the hospital shows that cure patients in one week.
Is Neighbours from season 9 in 1993 onwards up on Amazon prime yet. I read it in a neighbours fan page on Facebook, it might’ve been someone in UK posting it.

It’s another storyline that has happened in the supposed two year gap we’ve had since the finale. When the show ended, Nicolette and Kiri were a couple. Kiri had been the religious one.
So, supposedly Kiri and Nicolette were members of a church. Sasha was the church leader and Veronica was his wife. From what we’ve learnt so far, Sasha cracked onto Kiri and she became infatuated with him. To prove he was a serial cheater, Nicolette tried to crack onto Sasha, by sending him photos of herself in lingerie. This caused Kiri and Nicolette to break up a year ago.
Sasha’s wife Veronica recenhly discovered the photos of Nicolette on her husband’s tablet and he did a runner. She has been trying to track him down and is stalking Nicolette. Veronica threatened to reveal all to her family if Nicolette doesn’t help her track down Sasha. Nicolette can’t contact him because Sasha has blocked her number. She tried to ask Kiri for help but now she blocked her too.

Thanks. I couldn’t remember these characters and I guess I now know why. So we never saw Sasha? Or did he make a appearance at their church?
I seem to remember a scene where Kiri visited a church to pray and because Nicolette was interested in Kiri, she followed her there. I don’t think we ever saw the church leader.

I’m really enjoying the season so far, not as much as 2022 and certain things still seem off but am enjoying it way more than H&A.
I still miss Charlotte as Nicolette. Hannah is good but she hasn’t popped yet.
Haz is crap. He drags everyone down and I can’t stand that ugly shedding dog he has.
Mackenzie is Mackenzie. She’s okay in small doses away from Haz but I’d love them to matched up and shipped off somewhere far away.
I’ve liked the Rodwells from day 1 so it’s great to see Wendy fleshed out more. Thank god they didn’t Make Andrew JJ’s father, much prefer the two families distinct and separate.
I really love all the VM’s. The spoilers look promising regarding Cara’s sister because they haven’t had enough screen time.
The other spoiler is will have me jumping for joy when it finally happens. Absolutely odious character that I’ve hated from day 1.
Mondays episode with David and Aaron getting it on all episode was … interesting. (In a good way 
).
Wasn’t expecting that level in Erinsborough.
