The only telethon that I would consider is a beer telethon.

I feel for the cast and crew at the moment the likely hood loosing their jobs on June 10th. Truth be told how many of them would be able to bounce back after a long stint in our Aussie show?

As they keep saying it is a valuable training ground for talent on and off the screen surely as such many of the crew especially probably move on to better things quite quickly anyway, whilst just as there is on screen a few will have stuck with it for decades. Job losses are never something to celebrate but the importance moving forward is surely ensuring the opportunities are out there in the wider industry rather than protecting a single, frankly financially unviable, show.

You do realise how few stable ongoing crew jobs there are in Melbourne? Australia even. It’d be a critical loss to the industry.

There would be a lot affected, there isn’t jobs for everyone to move onto. A lot of these roles are specialised.

There’s a push from UK fans to get other Neighbours related songs to No. 1 in the charts, such ‘Don’t it make you feel good’ by Stefan Dennis.

I am not really a neighbours watcher but I think if neighbours is ending it should end with a series finale in prime time on ch10 with many former cast/characters making appearances even just cameos.

Maybe ramsay street is being compulsory Acquired and everyone has to leave so there is a final big street party with old characters returning to say goodbye

How about a music festival Kylie,Natalie, delta,Bonnie,Craig, jason and even the blakeney twins could sing and an asteroid or nuclear bomb or terrorists invade and get Lou and harold sing

Karl and Susan are arrested following the discovery of human remains when one of Bouncer’s grand puppies digs them up in their garden. Forensic analysis reveals the remains are those of their long lost son Billy Kennedy.

After the tragic death of yet another wife, Toadie finally realises Ramsey St is cursed, moves to Queensland and lives happily ever after.

Paul Robinson helps the state government compulsorily acquire every house in the street to make way for a new freeway to the city. Last shot sees the bulldozers moving in.

It would be a bit of a slap in the face to the current cast if the final episodes are centred around former cast returning IMO. The current cast alone can do the finale justice. Highly unlikely Kylie Minogue will return anyways.

I’d finish with lots of drama in the last few weeks. Some characters killed off, some go to prison and others move away interstate or overseas.

Can Harold wash out to sea again?

That storyline has been done before.

Maybe they will just ship the street to Queensland when a sink hole starts to open up in Melbourne.:grinning:

I thought the same thing, only it’s a Lassisters development across the cul-de-sac.

How about a new family move in sometime around May called the Kerrigans and then they’re just your typical Aussie battler family then the compulsory acquisition starts with the final scenes being the bulldozers as above but Anne Tenney lying in front of it as a protest and the final scene being it going into darkness as people run towards her shouting “Molly!”

So it’d be like Molly’s final scene in A Country Practice?

The final week of Neighbours should absolutely be stunted across the flagship Network 10 channel and promoted with a huge send off
