The Knights game at 9.30? That’s unusually late. It was played in Newcastle, so doesn’t explain that… as games were usually on at 8.30 pm then.

Presumably that was done to encourage ticketholders to attend rather than stay at home

That was the Tamworth schedule posted - whilst Newcastle would have been the same they nearly always took the same evening schedule as Sydney from 7.30pm.
Edit: Just realised that 9.30 may have been caused by the Super League split - as 1997 was the year that the Super League comp ran in competition to the ARL competition.

The first promo i recall NBN having in the same theme as Channel 9 were the “I Am” ones (with “I Am NBN Television” instead of “I Am Channel 9” as in the version below).

Yeah I recall too but can’t remember anything about it. never seen any of them uploaded to youtube or anywhere.
Someone did recently upload the 1996 This is Australia NBN themed promo which was nice

Back in the times when ABC had national NBL coverage but some commercial stations also had team specific coverage. Mike Rabbitt and I can’t remember who else did the Falcons for NBN.
And it was always at late night too. And the graphics for those games used that font too.
