Ah yes, 1994… the year NBN adopted Dotty.
I still remember the first time I saw the dotted NBN logo… it was in the “Newcastle Herald” weekly TV Guide, which was published on Thursdays. The new logo didn’t appear on air until that Sunday.
I nearly fell out of bed when I first saw the logo in the guide.

I remember seeing it for the first time on a visit to some relatives up at Raymond Terrace in late 1994. I had no idea they had changed their logo and I just assumed they were still using the circle logo and doing its own thing, unlike what WIN were doing. Let’s just say 14 year old me was glued to the set for most of that day.

It wouldn’t have necessarily been reasonable to expect packages to be redone for something so simple as a logo addition for a regional operator. It did the job.
