All Regional TAM markets and all bulletins that are coded âWIN Newsâ (so Iâd assume all the 5:30pm bulletins)
Thank you

Iâm guessing sometime down the line NBN News & WIN News threads get consolidated, as well as the Nine (NBN) and WIN threads?
Other than syncing the schedule across win stations, I canât see any benefit for the viewer moving NBNs no. 1 show and local news to a timeslot where less people can access it.
a completely bone headed move that is going to cost them revenue and viewers
I did heard speculation that NBN News might not air on the Kings Birthday public holiday.
Also this may be nothing but I just noticed this on the yourtv.com.au site
For local businesses the lost opportunity will not just be on weekends. They will be competing for slots against cashed-up national advertisers and potentially paying higher rates under the new program format.
It does leave the questions⌠will Seven invest in the market?
Noticed what? If you are referring to 9News on Channel 9, thatâs always there.
Nine HD saying 9 News at 6pm in Sydney. Afaik Nine HD doesnât broadcast in Newcastle
Like I said, itâs always there. Check todayâs listing. Itâs there.
It doesnt make sense when Newcastle doesnt receive that channel. I notice Nickleodean isnt listed - another Sydney channel.
Last I checked LCN 80 is 9HD. If you look at the Central Coast guide - which receives both NBN and Nine Sydney - 9HD is listed twice, in addition to NBN and âplainâ 9. Interestingly, the Gold Coast - which is in a similar boat to the Central Coast - does list NBN News correctly on one of the 9HD listings. Iâd put it down to a quirk/error of the (Northern) NSW guides. QLD has a weekday variation on 9HD Brisbane for the Gold Coast transmitters so there was obviously more attention to detail there.
If I was Seven, I would have started airing local news at 5:30pm. Before you hound me down on rating think of this - on or about 29 June, move it to 6pm and say âdue to popular demand, Seven Local News moves to 6pm from Monday 29 Juneâ. Then add to the end âmake the switch Seven News nightly at 6â
Seven initially could be pre-recording the North Coast edition - screen Coffs Harbour stories at from in Northern Rivers, but in Newcastle replace these with Newcastle stories, then use lower North Coast as fillers. It will probably hard to find relevant local stories initially given they wouldnt go all out initially, they could then, if successful, start producing Central Coast stories for the bulletin.
This post makes no sense. The Seven Coastal bulletin is a mixture of Ballina/Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Taree content. Seven has a journalist and cammo in each city.
Unless I misunderstood, adding Newcastle and Central Coast stories to it would be complete ratings suicide, especially in the Newcastle/Hunter sub-market. People in Newcastle couldnât give a ratâs about a local crime story in Byron Bay and mixing out stories with others would be a complete rundown nightmare.
And moving a long established bulletin to 5.30 to go up against WIN with local Newcastle presenters? You just killed most of your audience. Just no.
Who will present the half an hour news?
It sounds like it will be Natasha.. as someone posted somewhere that WIN have updated a Facebook page (or something) to show a picture of Natasha.
I believe that those threads will stay separate for a while yet.
Will the live shot of Newcastle remain or will there be a static background once the bulletins are shortened? If there is going to be a live shot of Newcastle, will WIN extend the live shot to other regions where WIN News is currently aired?
I think it will depend on how the news bulletins are branded.. if the âNBN Newsâ brand stays, then I think that bulletin should still have itâs own thread.
The other non-news WIN/NBN threads could be combined however.
