This graphics package was basically a minor alteration to the previous package. The Nine logo was dropped for the news service logo. Sets during this era were relatively unchanged. Sydney received a virtual studio border around it’s skyline image (also used for the national backdrop). The national key backdrop also overhauled its image, originally going for a bright vibrant blue overlay of a control room image, then eventually dimmed the blue down to make it easier on the eyes. Melbourne retained it’s wooden panel desk for weeknights, with weekend producers standing. The news logo was also superimposed behind presenters of Melbourne’s weekend bulletin. Perth revamped its studio with a new desk and updated virtual background. On screen graphics were also changed (goodbye cigarette motif supers), and in its place were blue and white themed graphics .
