National Nine News 2004-2005

This graphics package is probably one of Media Spy’s favourite packages from Nine. The 2004 package featured basic rectangle supers and OTS graphics - but were later updated to feature curves. Perth and Adelaide used slightly different graphics as they were not network owned and operated stations.

National Nine News looked set for another dominant year when they won the first week of the 2005 ratings season. But it was another Nine identity that brought about their downfall on a rival network in the country’s biggest market…

I remember this look from the days when Nine used to own Prime NZ. We used to get the Today Show and National Nine Morning news plus late night ACA. It showed what NZ TV was lacking at the time.
