Everything to do with mySwitch.
there is really no need for this. The myswitch website hasn’t been updated for about a decade it’s really just an archived site.
But is it still reliable in 2024?
You started this thread so what is there to discuss
I have a question on this. What is today’s website equivalent that does get updated? If there is one.
Other than the ACMA broadcaster listings soreadsheets and PDF files, I don’t think there is one (that gives you coverage maps like MySwitch did).
One thing to comes to mind are the TXA coverage maps which are similar to myswitch but only for TXA operated transmitters.
tvmap.au
That’s a great find! Thanks!
It looks really good and I love the animations.
mySwitch has officially recognized that MDT does not exist anymore, this means that mySwitch is still reliable.
But doesn’t recognise ABC TV Plus doesn’t exist any more.
Don’t forget ABC ME either…
Now buried in the Technical Information page is the callsign of a Griffith TV station which began in 1965. WIN decided not to renew an advertising agreement with the Seven Network, ending MTN after 59 years, leaving AMN (Nine) and MDN (Ten) as the only local stations available for advertising, and for a local presence. I reckon you watch, WIN will probably end their advertising agreement with Network 10 next, and leave just the Nine station (their main station) as the only local advertiser to advertise on. How sad.
In the Griffith area, I can only imagine this…
005 10 Sydney
006 7 Sydney
008 9HD Griffith
050 10 HD Sydney
051 10 Sydney
052 10 Peach Comedy Sydney
053 10 BOLD Drama Sydney
060 7HD Sydney
061 7 Sydney
062 7TWO Sydney
064 7mateHD Sydney
065 7Bravo Sydney
066 7flix Sydney
080 9HD Griffith
081 9Gem Griffith
082 9Go Griffith
083 9Life Griffith
From 1989 until 2012, MTN was a Nine Network affiliate. Until July of this year, it still had regional advertising, and advertisers could still book advertising on Seven through WIN. Just a shame that something like this was allowed to happen, and to also lose Sky News in the area in the process.
Apart from the screenshot from MySwitch, what has this go to do with the actual site?
