I too found Dance Monkey rather annoying and I also kept thinking it won the ARIA Award for the 2019 Single of the Year when it didn’t (“Choir” by Guy Sebastian took out that gong).

I prefer “Never Seen the Rain”.

To kick off the new year on the ARIA Charts:

  • Olivia Dean maintains top spot on both the Singles and Albums chart with “Man I Need” and “The Art of Loving”, respectively.
  • Djo’s “End of Beginning” has reentered the top 50, possibly thanks to the final episode of “Stranger Things”.

Same. Usually when a song is popular and I don’t like it, I can figure out why most of the time.
Couldn’t with that in the slightest.

The band announced their 2026-27 BTS World tour on January 13, with the Australian leg set to kick off in Melbourne on February 12, 2027.

They will perform four shows in Australia; two in Melbourne and two in Sydney.

Concert dates are as follows:

  • Melbourne - Friday, February 12, 2027
  • Melbourne - Saturday, February 13, 2027
  • Sydney - Friday, February 20, 2027
  • Sydney - Saturday, February 21, 2027

The last confirmed concert date before they fly to Australia is slated for Jakarta, Indonesia, on December 27, 2026.

Fans have speculated that could allow the band to announce additional Australian dates for January or early February 2027.

TIL that “Me, Myself & I” by Scandal’us (the winners of Popstars Australia 2001) was actually a cover of a song by Excellence (winners of Popstars Sweden in 2000); while it was recorded in 2000 it was never released as a single, though only came to light during a gym scene in Final Desination 5.

Do you need help about choosing songs for an Australia Day Playlist, look no further than my unconventional Australia Day playlist. First we got Peter Allen with Fly Away. Produced by David Foster with Richard Page and Steve George on backing vocals.

Next we got the late Doug Parkinson with “It’s Your Move”, this song was later covered by America and then Diana Ross in which it was sampled as “MACINTOSH PLUS”

And finally, we have the most rock song in this playlist. Used in an ABC ident and an episode of “Better Call Saul” Affair of the Heart by Rick Springfield

British superstar Harry Styles has announced he’ll return to Australia towards the end of this year as part of his “Together Together” World Tour.

But as with many recent artists, he’ll only be performing in Melbourne and Sydney, with two shows in each city (though there is potential for more shows to be added).

I’ve noticed that - Internation stars underestimate their fan base in Australia.. then need to add shows due to tickets selling quickly.

Exactly reason why everyone applauded Luke Combs for going for the bigger stadiums on his last trip here

Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa and (I think) The Weeknd were among the artists who only played in Sydney and Melbourne while in Australia.

One theory I have is that playing in only those two cities would encourage people from the other three major capitals to travel to Sydney or Melbourne, but then again Brisbane people would be complaining why an artist wouldn’t play in their home city.

FWIW while this is the second time in four years that Harry won’t play in Brisbane, he did at least perform on the Gold Coast on his last tour here.

The Wolfe Brothers were a big winner of the night with five awards, including their second album of the year.

There will be a third Melbourne concert on December 2.

DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS by Bad Bunny wins “Album of the Year” at the 2026 GRAMMYs.

He’s performing at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show next week.

It can’t be just me who feels like a country artist needs to be at the Superbowl. Surely Luke Combs or Chris Stapleton could do it.

It’s always ONLY been rap or pop at the Superbowl
