I think calling all of them rap or pop is a fairly broad brush.
They also a trying to get non-football fans to tune in that otherwise might not.
You are right, we should of had TISM do the Super Bowl Halftime Show with the Chats as their special guests.

A half time show with a lot of swear words and people ging off their nanas would be hilarious. We need that in the NRL or AFL grand final. 
Harry Styles is number one in both Britain and America with his new single Aperture. Quite curious then that in Australia it has not done so well. Last week it debuted at number 2 but this week it dropped down to 12. 
Meanwhile, after conquering the Triple J Hot 100, Olivia Dean holds the number 1 and number 2 spots.

Some sad news from over the weekend: Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the band 3 Doors Down, died from kidney cancer aged just 47.
The band are well known for hits like “Kryptonite” and “Here Without You”, the latter debuting and peaking at #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart in February 2004.

I didnt this happened but YouTube stopped submitting data to U.S. Billboard charts from 16 January 2026. Apparently Youtube had a dispute with how the streams were being counted towards the charts so they no longer provide that data.
The knock-on effect is that artists are not providing their music videos to YouTube. They are putting them on Apple Podcasts and Spotify Premium only. Taylor Swift is the latest to do that with her new music video.

Pop artists covers a wide of genres now. The Billboard 100 and 200 charts are the American Pop Music charts. These days they are filled with Country Artists so in effect Country is now Pop in America.
I don’t get it, anything that is popular should be pop music - pop being short for popular music. But some people sort music into different genres - like rock, metal etc…shouldn’t it be like pop-metal, pop-rock, pop-classicial, pop-funk etc?
Also, Taylor Swift needs to team up with Suzuki for a limited edition Suzuki Taylor Swift car.
