Good to see that Ava Max’s music has enjoyed a resurgence on Australian radio, even if she only featured in songs by DJs (another example being Kygo’s “Whatever” which interpolates Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever”).
She and David Guetta have proven that they can refresh a song and make it sound good again, with a nicer touch being the inclusion of the original vocals by Alphaville.
IMO it’s easier on the ears than Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s 2022 effort when they put their own touch on the Blue melody made original by Eiffel 65 and returned it to the top of the charts worldwide.
