Mushroom Murder Verdict News Coverage

I remember in 2010 when Julia Gillard was being sworn in as Prime Minister, Today with Karl and Lisa were on air from either 5am or 5.30am all the way through until 2pm.

Seven’s going to take it on a 10-second delay, they said it’ll be on across all of their social media platforms.

Actually, I can confirm this applies to all broadcasters interested in this feed.

The only question is whether they take it or not. And the answer is a resounding “yes”.

So they won’t take it on air then?

10 mentioned its live coverage of the sentencing hearing during tonight’s news - from 9:30 AM

Apparently “something different” is not a viable option.

But it is what it is.

This is not something I would have expected from 10. Great work though.

What intern have they got covering this? Good work from 10.

Let’s see if this decision not to broadcast stands.

Going by an email sent from 10s VP of News, it’ll be live in all markets.

I personally think the blanket coverage on all channels is completely unnecessary, but I know that won’t be the majority opinion on a media forum!

There’s this neat thing called multichannels and catchup services

Eddy said it would be shown on digital platforms and on Channel 7:

That was “The Project” right? All news is almost the same now in presentation.

I was referring to alternative programming during the sentencing.

ABC News will be taking the verdict live on the ABC News Channel, and ABC-TV on the east coast - the mornings news block on ABC-TV will be extended by 30 minutes (9am-10:30am) to accommodate the stipulation by the Supreme Court that the verdict broadcast can’t be interrupted.

Alexandra Alvaro and Sacha Payne will be reporting from the Supreme Court, with Gemma Veness hosting in the studio.

SA and NT will get the extended block on the usual 30 minute delay, however, it appears WA will be getting a different block of news at 9am local time than the usual national mornings block, as it’s only listed for the usual hour, and doesn’t have the same EPG as the other states.

NEW VR STUDIO SNEAKY PEAKY?!?
in all honesty, I’m expecting her to be outside the courtroom and not in studio.
Surprised it’s not Denham or Amelia tbh.
