Sad news this morning with actress Michelle Trachtenberg’s passing. Just 39 years old, tragic.

A lot are mentioning Buffy, but she was also in a number of memorable mainstream movies from the late 90s and early 2000s, especially if you were younger at those times, such as Harriet The Spy, Inspector Gadget alongside Matthew Broderick and EuroTrip alongside Matt Damon.

She was reported to have been suffering liver issues.

Releasing 23rd December 2026.

Yeah the art style looks uncanny valley so hopefully they tweak it like sonic’s designs.

The Razzies have been announced for this year.

Looking forward to Black Bag, getting a lot of positive reviews and love seeing our Blanchett in what is now for her a rare major studio blockbuster, usually she opts for more Oscar-worthy arthouse indies. Also good to see the espionage genre still getting love. Michael Fassbender, Naomie Harris and Pierce Brosnan are also some of my favourite actors.

as a bond fan i’m hopeful it will stay the same in terms of quality, perhaps with more frequent releases. I hope they dont do what Disney did with starwars and jsut crank out stuff as it really diluted the brand and made it hard to keep up

Village Roadshow Entertainment Group (VREG) is separate from the Australian-based Village Roadshow Group which was formed in 1954 and includes Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Roadshow Distributors, Roadshow Productions, Village Roadshow Studios, and Village Cinemas. Since 2017, the Village Roadshow Group has had no strategic, operational control, management oversight, or financial responsibility for VREG.

Village Roadshow Group CEO Clark Kirby said the company was not impacted by VREG’s financial issues.

“As former owners of VREG, we are extremely disappointed to read in the press that VREG has filed for Chapter 11, Bankruptcy in the USA and I have immediately sent notice to terminate VREG’s use of the Village Roadshow name,” he said.

Took the kids to see Dog Man on saturday. Good fun kids move, but the biggest frustration for me was someone using a laptop in the movie. I ended up going to the candy bar and dobbing them in and they took care of it, but seriously, a laptop!

Could it be a movie critic typing reviews on a laptop?

I don’t care if it was. It was right in my eyeline and put me off.

Saw Black Bag last week, was really good, recommended :+1: If you’re a fan of Steven Soderbergh, espionage, British crime, Michael Fassbender or Cate Blanchett or even mysteries and whodunits, this’ll be for you. Loved the tense dinner scenes and very snappy run time, a rarity today.
