Movies on TV

I thought the movie was about this character…

You know, all the jokes about her being ugly, being told to shut up, etc. :stuck_out_tongue:

(I am being facetious  )

I enjoy watching most Australian films (not many around like me these days, i know. Lol). Surprisingly, it was the first time i had watched Last Cab to Darwin. Great movie. It aired on 7Flix last night (Fri) at 8.35pm. A small cameo by AFL’s Brian Taylor too.

Just a shame that most Aussie films arent on the main channels anymore, at good timeslots too, apart from The Castle.

Also, tonight on GO, the premiere of Get Out is on… at 10.45pm . An Oscar nominated film for Best film, and it gets shafted to GO on a Saturday night? Yikes.

A real chiller! I saw it on DVD before it became a ‘sleeper hit’ and was shocked, especially the twists, very well done, not everyone’s cup of tea however.

Playing up on the Halloween () aspect of it, perhaps? Maybe the rating prevented it from being screened earlier?

gonna need a citation on this one bud…a sleeper hit on DVD in 2017?

Book Week (2018) premiere on 10 on Saturday 14 November at 11pm

Sorry, that came out wrong, as in I saw it on DVD before the months where it became a big ‘word of mouth’ hit approaching the Oscars with its nominations.

NB/ I actually didn’t realise how big a hit it already was during its theatrical run, over $200m (against a tiny budget), I don’t recall it getting massive box office nor talk over here at the time, perhaps more of a hit domestically in the US?

Out of curiosity, do you generally just watch movies airing across 7’s channels or do you check out the other networks too? World Movies? The odd movie on 9 or 10?

Not that Killy’s comment deserved an answer

But all networks (not that 10 air anything anyway nor ABC and SBS’ library isn’t the depth of Seven/Nine), I’ve been watching (streaming) SBS World Movies more than the others lately

I post weekly on Whirlpool Forums’ Last Movie Watched thread (Sully96 username) what I’ve watched, majority of which aren’t even from TV anyway!

NB/ In case you missed it, these caps I post are not what I necessarily watch, they’re for MS vault archive for presentation elements, etc - usually for a FTA premiere or when a movie moves networks. For interest sake. Which you seemingly have missed the point…

Wow, so hostile.

It was a genuine question which you’ve totally misinterpreted as something it wasn’t.

I don’t know what you do or don’t watch, hence asking.

Oh the irony.
