Channel?

It’s a WB movie, so should be Seven who have the output.

It’s on 7.

Crazy Rich Asians was a box office hit when released in 2018, with two sequels in development. It deserves a better lead-in than Border Security.

“Give me back my son!” -Mel Gibson :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Returning to Seven, first time since at least early 2000s, premiered in September 1999.

But then Nine got rights in 2005 and have aired it many times the last 15 years and it has always been a strange one as it’s a Disney movie (whom Seven of course still had the output with).

It really is odd how the rights for Paramount movies often keep flip-flopping between networks (10 to Nine to Seven to SBS and then back to one of them less than a couple of years later, sometimes within months and then back again)

Which gets back to their model for global TV licencing (movies only) of never really signing exclusive long term outputs, especially as years have progressed.

Take tonight for example, “The Italian Job” (2003) is airing on 9Go! after airing a few times the past year or two on 7mate, who got it off Nine around mid-2018, Nine themselves getting it off Seven years ago and it was even on 10 I think before that, etc.

Whether they licence certain titles under different conditions than others (such as one off/cherry pick purchases or packages or limited runs or unlimited runs) who knows.

That doesn’t look too bad without the cutoff text shit, but I’m not a fan of the two different reds.

Both will be FTA premieres, from Warner Bros.
At this stage Aquaman has not been scheduled for Melbourne and Adelaide due to Brownlow Medal, maybe they will get it at a later date?

So in at least Sydney, Seven will have main channel movies on Sun, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri and Sat in prime time.

Wow, the cupboard really is bare!

Only positive for them is they’re utilising their programming/licencing contracts, which we know are rather costly.

I’d presume a 7mate simulcast, as per usual strategy?

Not scheduled for 7Mate

“Lethal Weapon 2” airing on 7mate Sunday week, they also have rights to the first and fourth movies, we’ll have to see if they’ve now got the third as well.

The past few years 1 and 4 had been airing on Seven and 2 and 3 on Nine, LOL.

According to online guides, Aquaman will now be shown on Seven in Melbourne and Adelaide after the Brownlow Medal telecast, which means the movie won’t start until 9.45pm in Melbourne provided the medal count finishes on time.

You can almost bet it will not and doesn’t it usually go until more like 10:30pm or 11pm?
