About the Freaky Friday movie cause you thought the 2003 version premiered in 2005, but it was in fact the 1976 version . Maybe the 2003 version premiered on 7 years later knowing FTA networks…
Oh
Update
“Freaky Friday” (2003) premiered on Seven on Friday April 7 2006.
Late night movie “Fargo” (1996) on Nine at the moment. From MGM. Premiered on Seven on Sunday November 8, 1998
A Coen Brothers thriller tale classic (their most iconic) with arguably Oscar winner Frances McDormand and William H Macy’s best performances.

Edit
“The Lion King” (1994) (a Nine premiere) aired last night and the latest version they were provided has the modern Disney logo cover-up at the start
Also seen at the end. Plus, the end credits changed from “Distributed by Buena Vista Pictures” to “Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures”. The version was also clearly digitally re-mastered.

Nine have the rights to FTA premiere of “Blade Runner 2049” (2017). Licensed to TV overseas by Sony. On 9Go! Saturday week.
FTA premiere, from Nine’s deal with NBC Universal. Sequel to Fast and Furious 7 which airs on Tuesday, July 30.
“Hard to Kill” (1990) with Steven Seagal and Kelly LeBrock licenced by Warner Bros finally leaves Nine, network premiere on Seven, Friday week.
FTA premiere was on Nine on Monday April 27 in 1992.
It has been re-run so many times, including very recently multiple times. Often was aired late night after cricket or NRL. @Zampakid
From Warner Bros. A box office smash like The Fate of the Furious.
This means next Wednesday two action movies will go head to head, both FTA premieres.
Daily Mail loves the midday movie
But isn’t that Lifetime (and equivalent) distributors general genre, these D-grade thrillers involving mums and teachers and daughters ‘killing’ or ‘kidnapping’ or ‘so and sos secret’? The titles are so cliched as well.
Epic masterpiece “Gone with the Wind” (1939) on 7flix tomorrow night. Airs for nearly 5 hours!
Another pick-up from Seven’s current WB deal. Looks like the latest version they were provided (unless they’re using an old master) is still 4:3 aspect.
Last aired in the arvo on Saturday October 3 in 2015 on 9Gem.
FTA premiere (after TV launch in mid-50s here) still took decades, I think it was 1985 and Seven were awarded rights, aired in 2 parts (took 46 years!!)
Nine have of course since had rights until now.

7flix “5 Ice Age movies” marathon
The correct original aspect ratio is 1.37:1 which is very close to 4:3. What other aspect ratio would you expect it to be in? The movie has been remastered, so it should be HD 1.37:1.
Well, knowing how Seven treat The Simpsons, wouldn’t have put it past them to stretch and crop, to make full screen
Walt Disney’s “Dead Men Tell No Tales” (2017) FTA premiere on Nine

9Gem did the exact same as above tonight also for “Dances with Wolves”, but didn’t have a “after the break” (no ad break - just stopped/started as legally required by ACMA commercial Code for this situation), but did have another MGM and Orion Pictures re-opening logos.
Looking forward to Nine doing a triple part movie - A 7:30 PG into an 8:30 M into a 9:00 MA 15+.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks aired on 9Go! a few days ago. Was it the original theatrical cut or the 1996 extended cut?
can it finally be shown uncut?!?
No (it’s still R18+). But it won’t be as cut as Nine’s “M” version, Seven have it as “MA15+”.
