Caroline Wilson said on radio today that this show will air during the normal Q&A timeslot, running over the Olympics, but potentially longer - up to 8 weeks, and possibly coming back next year every Monday night.
The Back Page itself is a clone of The Fat - mainly because of Tony Squires but The Fat was great on the ABC a bit like the original Good News Week on the ABC also before both went to commercial networks - GNW on Ten and 110% Tony Squires (I think that was the one) on Seven.

I do like my generic sports programs. We used to have plenty. From nightly versions of Sports Tonight (Ten) and World Sports (SBS), to weekly versions like Seven’s Sportsworld and The Monday Dump with Roy and HG, to ABC’s The Fat / Seven’s 110% Tony Squires etc.
These days, its Sunday mornings of Offsiders and Wide World of Sports (formerly Sports Sunday).
Sorry, but I just don’t get it. However, I do think the ABC may have indirectly found a way forward for Q&A in 2025 with the set design and general format that are being used here. Having a more news-focused version of this format, with elements of BBC Newsnight, would be excellent.
