Great numbers for 10’s Late News. Should always air straight after HYBPA and The Cheap Seats (at the 9.45-ish mark) more often.
Has been mentioned once or twice.
Last night’s bulletin was at the comparatively early time of 10pm. I also suggested that a potential use of 10 News+ resources (when the show is retired) would be to beef up the late news to a one hour bulletin at an earlier timeslot - more reporters, live reporting, more sport, specialty reports as required. The audience is clearly open to watching a 10 News product at this time and the commercial competition at that time is comparatively week. - you never know when 9News Late will air and Seven has no late news presence.
One thing 10 can do straight away is introduce a late bulletin on Sunday night to complement the weekday bulletin.

Will there still be an audience on late Sunday night for a bulletin? Many people will have been in bed as they prepare for the start of a new working week. I would love to see the return of Sports Tonight for a wrap of Sunday sports action though.
Nine’s late Sunday bulletin had 400,000 watching this week and it is regularly over 300,000. A late bulletin on 10 surely be better than another FBI repeat.

Has been for a long long time
Sunday late news on nine does huge business.
.. and this has been like this ever since the UK TP began a few years back. 7 didn’t do anything and have let their whole afternoon /evening decide suffer.

I’d argue the celebrity versions have performed much better than their civilian versions.

Ten should definitely try and make ten late news at 10 a thing. 7 days a week.
And while they are at it…I’d love a sports tonight show (as suggested above) perhaps on Thursday/Fridays and sundays after the late news. Friday as a preview of the weekend ahead and Sunday as a wrap of the weekend.
