And possibly, for Sydney viewers the continuity of generally having Josh Holt across most of the bulletins.
Plus the restoration of dedicated bulletins in all markets - takes some time to build up again.
Now, I just wish they would advertise, some outdoor billboards etc couldn’t hurt but it’s 10.
All breakfast numbers were low with a public holiday yesterday. News B has been improving over the last couple of weeks, now with a consistent host.
Don’t have equivalent national numbers to compare.
Any metro numbers? From looking back 633k metro could be the highest since 2021 but that had 640k for S2 & I assume this 633k is for the whole match.
2021 was Session 2: 638,000 and Session 1 616,000. with Innings Break 566,000.
People read too much into public holiday viewership I think.
Breakfast will always be lower than usual and other parts of daytime will be higher.
I agree, that’s generally true but the number for 10 News seems well above other similar days.
Last Australia Day holiday that was a Friday 10 News had 293,000. The holiday before in 2023 the bulletin had 316,000.
Where are Seven getting that from?

It seems that on a day when people are actually home for 10 News, it’s rating well. 5 o’clock is when many are clocking off and on the commute home so couldn’t usually watch it.
Can’t extrapolate too much from one day, but it seems like these people are obviously a significant number and would seem to want to watch it if they could.
Therefore… 10 Late News at 10 (sharp), every night…
