Nine’s had its fourth straight Monday win but with its lowest network share in that period and the closest margin to second-placed Seven. 10 was up from the previous week overtaking ABC that saw a big loss in audience while SBS improved from last week’s Monday low.

As per usual, all three reality shows lost audience from Sunday night when all posted season highs. Married At First Sight again came out with the win but was down 150,000 from Sunday and also down from the previous Monday by 60,000; the only lower result for this season was the one off Thursday episode. On 10, Survivor was up 20,000 week-on-week to its second highest audience of the season. Meanwhile the much advertised top 50 show saw Idol edge up by 15,000; highly likely that Seven were hoping for a bigger uplick. The show was 10th in 25-54 and 12th in 16-39.

Earlier at 6pm, Seven News had its best Monday result of 2023 with Nine News losing audience. However by 7pm A Current Affair saw Nine number one. Later, Big Miracles slipped from its debut while Would I lie To You? on 10 missed the top 20. Both were beaten by Four Corners despite it being down 66k from the previous episode. Back Roads also dropped from 8th to 12th while Media Watch was at a year low.

The morning’s Super Bowl broadcast drew 329,000. That compares to 391,000 in 2022. ESPN had 170,000, up from 105,000 in 2022.

Sky News numbers continue to be notably down with nothing over 44k. Paul Murray Live on the equivalent night of 2022 had 82,000 with just 41,000 last night.

It got less than half of the audience who watched the series debut on February 28 last year (482,000) and was outside the top 5 in major demos. Will need to pick up viewers in encores later this week, as well as timeshifting and BVOD.

Interesting that MAFS has dropped off slightly although 779K is still a number most shows would kill for.

Also noticeable that the Channel Nine circus with Logan Paul didn’t even get the Today Show into the Top 20, nor into the top 5 of the 16-39 demographic? I guess there is a reason the crowd threw eggs at Karl.

@scott I’m surprised you haven’t commented on this disaster?

Oh yeah I have commented many times that Sky has lost numbers since Alan Jones left last year

Needs to be more ultra conservative towards the right you think?

Idol continues to be beaten by Survivor even though they’re past auditions now. Not a bad result for Survivor this season against MAFS.

Viewers need to be made aware that Would I Lie To You is better this year. Many would have given up last year.

At breakfast Sunrise was 20k ahead of Today that had its best result in 2 weeks. News B was 40k further back.

Sunrise with much better in Brisbane than usual while Today and Sunrise ties in Adelaide. Today was actually ahead before rounding - a very very rare win for Today.
