Can anyone please mock up the Seven News Sydney/national set with a 4x4 plasma wall for weather instead of the tiny Sunrise backdrop screen? Im just curious if it’d look better of not.

It has been a while since I uploaded anything in this thread so here’s a virtual set I created for Seven News a while ago. Broadly inspired by the ITV set, the two timber platforms are the only physical elements.

Have set it up for Tuesday’s rolling coverage of Cyclone Debbie (some of the graphics on the plasmas are a bit washed out, especially the red, can’t figure out how to fix them…):

Realistically we wouldn’t see something so impressive for local 6pm bulletins.

Was that made using Blender or Sketchup?

I’ve used Sketchup back when it was owned by Google, but i’m a bit of a n00b at Blender.

Also ‘Brooownie’ as Ann Sanders would say looks like a 3D Model there.

Thanks - will give that backdrop a go. So hard to find good newsroom backdrops, it was either this one or the Al Jazeera one and this one had at least a little bit of red in it.

Sketchup. Have never heard of Blender before, will have to download it and have a play around.
