Mock Schedules

It’s a really good schedule I do just worry about your 6-7 schedule. I don’t think game shows will work for 10.

Yeah the news and The Project is doing fine in those slots so would probably be a bad idea to move them. Those game shows could be used for post-8.30 slots along with the likes of HYBPA. 9.30 can be for late news.

Also wouldn’t move Cheap Seats and Living Room, but the crime lineup looks good for Saturday outside A League.

Same I think the time is right to bring it back. I think working dog couldn’t come up with new scenarios for it. But I think it’s ok to reuse scenes and scenarios. I just think they need to bring in new, fresh comedians.

Ten could potentially look at sports based programs when soccer isnt on. As an example Ten could air RPM in prime time and encore it at 4pm Saturday as well as a football based program (a working title could be Footyworld and cover news and results from the 4 different footy codes - Soccer, Rugby League, Rugby Union and AFL - noting both mens and ladies competitions - probably a 1 hour format

Just do a general sports program, ala-Sports Sunday.

Or Sports Tonight :stuck_out_tongue:

Saturdays:
5.00pm: News
6.00pm: The Sports Project
7.00pm: A-League Pre-Game Show
7.30pm: A-League
9.30pm: A-League Post-Game
10.00pm: Sports Tonight / The World Game (highlights)
10.30pm: Police Dramas (like NCIS)

When the A-League isnt on:
5.00pm: News
6.00pm: Test Pattern. Nothing has ever rated in this timeslot against 7 and 9
7.00pm: The Living Room / The Dog House Aus
8.00pm: Weekly Game Show
9.00pm: The Sports Project (Reviews the days sports of NRL and AFL)
10.00pm: Blue Bloods

Not many changes to Seven’s current schedule, see further information below:

Nights
Nights would be hosted by Larry Emdur, airing Mondays to Wednesdays from 9:00pm to 10:30pm. The program will have a live studio audience and include segments on entertainment and gossip, sport, lifestyle, music, gardening, news of the day, and a nightly quiz which will involve giveaways and prizes to viewers at home. The idea of the program is to retain viewers into the night.

The Latest: Seven News
The Latest continues in its thirty-minute slot from Monday to Wednesday, however the Thursday edition would be extended to one hour to allow for more in-depth interviews and allow for discussion with a panel in the studio, similar to Sunrise’s Hot Topics segment.

The Front Bar
The Front Bar is expanded to create an NRL edition for NSW & QLD, presented by local Sydney presenters and produced from Sydney.

Australian Dramas
Newly produced Australian dramas will air Sunday nights at 8:30pm, varying from crime dramas, to family dramas, to medical dramas, to political dramas etc.

Reality TV
Reality TV genre will air Sundays 7pm-8:30pm, and Monday to Wednesday 7:30pm-9pm. Programs include The Voice, Big Brother, SAS Australia, Farmer Wants a Wife, Holey Moley, Australia’s Got Talent etc.

Crime Investigation Australia
Voiceovers by Matt Doran.

I liked having a Nightly variety show Nights, hosted by Larry Emdur. This is likely to be filmed over in the 7 News Sydney studios.
Well, The Front Bar on Thursday nights is going to be a challenge there. Given that AFL is scheduled on a Thursday night, then the Front Bar will have to be held on the Wednesday night.

Good point. In the event of Thursday Night Footy for either sporting code, I’d place The Front Bar at 10:30pm on Wednesdays after Nights, or alternatively, air it at 9pm on Wednesdays, meaning Nights only airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on that given week.

I like that idea, and it could give league fans in Sydney and Brisbane a new footy-based variety show to watch, after the Thursday night edition of The Footy Show was axed in 2018.

Shane Webcke and/or Trevor Gillmeister would be ideal hosts, at least for a QLD edition.

Giving up most Fridays to AFL/NRL?

I don’t think they should.

They should either look to cement a comedy evening with an Australian program like Cheap Seats and let it build; or a true crime evening with Australian documentaries.
