The problem is, DOND is flatlining in repeat mode, so they’d have to address that. Quiz shows are a little easier to pull repeat viewers, but DoND doesn’t have that pull.
You can tell if it’s a repeat quickly with the contestant being selected to tell you’ve seen it and tune out.
In programming scheduling repeats using the ratings periods are not the best strategy, but a ‘best of’ over the summer period is always worthwhile.
The first 3 or 4 weeks will obviously have 5 new episodes a week. But sadly, fall into repeat mode on Fridays from then onwards. And sometimes on Thursdays too a few months later.
7 should take back Deal and trial it at 3pm in 2026 to see how it goes. Without Grant Denyer.

I just thought Ten might still have Family Feud format rights. Alternatively I would choose Sale Of The Century instead of Press Your Luck.

Yeah I used to watch All Star Squares when I was 10-11 in 1999 it had celebrities given questions and they had to answer true and false and the contestants had to guess if the celebs were lying.I think the male host of this show never hosted another show on Australian TV again.

I will sum up my thoughts like this, Rebecca Gibney is a good choice and they should add this to their evening gane show schedule and not be a replacement for what’s on offer already in the prime time gane show realm

Gibney is a good choice as host, but I do not understand why, with all the game show formats that are lying dormant, you would choose to revive one that was clearly tired at the end of a 15-year run just two years ago.
