Million Dollar Island

I think also because people assume it’s going to have all the current shows on actual 7 FTA, so might aswell advertise vintage shows you can’t see elsewhere.

They should just air it after DWTS. It might benefit from the lead in and even if not- the audience might not look as bad in that timeslot.

Well they are promoting next week as “Finals week”. So possibly there are only 3 or so more episodes? 2 next week and a finale the following week? Or even play it out next week?

Only two episodes have been scheduled for next week, so episode 12 could be the finale.

Episode 12 on that Tuesday isn’t the final.

How many episodes are there then… And why are they labelling next week as finals week?

The content of that episode suggests the next episode could be the final though it could be made into 2 episodes.

“I can feel my whole body shutting down”

Shocking start to Finals Week on Million Dollar Island

One hundred players started, and now only 24 remain as an explosive Finals Week begins on Million Dollar Island on Channel 7 and 7plus. The stakes have never been higher**,** with some players more than willing to cross a moral line to claim their share of the million-dollar prize pot.

With the ravages of starvation taking its toll on his body, NSW concrete pump operator Jordan Butler, approaches opposing Vine camp member, Jack Carmine, begging for food.

“I can feel my whole body shutting down. I just need to ask you, man to man, for something to eat. I’m starving, mate,” pleads 21-year-old Jordan. “I’m physically feeling things that I’ve never felt before. I feel like I’m about to pass out.’’

But Jordan’s pleas for compassion fall on deaf ears as Jack brutally shuts him down, choosing to play the game. “I just don’t care. I’m here to win a million bucks. He breaks, he’s out!” says the 38-year-old Queenslander in response to Jordan’s request.

As Vine camp hoards their supplies and starvation continues to take its toll on Log camp, the hunger games reach a dramatic climax. Who will have the strength to rise above and fight for the life-changing prize?

On Million Dollar Island, alliances mean everything, and friendships are worth a fortune. Ultimately, a nail-biting final challenge will help determine who walks away with their share of the $1 million prize.

Million Dollar Island is hosted by Ant Middleton and produced by award-winning Eureka Productions.

Final confirmed for Tuesday 25 July.

Synopsis.

100 players started, only 7 remain. A last brutal challenge stands between the players and the dramatic Million Dollar endgame before the island delivers a grand final twist no-one was expecting.

The most recent episode was very entertaining.

Is the food situation really that bad? I struggle with the fact that one camp has had the majority of the food the entire time, simply because they salvaged more on day 1. Yet Log camp are starving and the producers have not done anything to give them an opportunity to get some food (e.g. sacrifice some players for food or something?).

I also don’t understand why there is so much anger from the other camps for Log camp finally getting some food (after starving for a very long time). It’s been pretty cruel that it’s been withheld from them, when a tribe of 2 have enough to feed all the other camps. So I loved the way that guy took some and still put them up.

That Matty came across as the biggest arrogant pr!CK in the recent episode throwing their fire in the water. How are there people ok seeing others starve? I get you want an advantage but if they gave a tiny bit of food (and held on more for themselves) they would still have an upper hand in challenges. Also didn’t understand the others lashing out at Karla and the girls for eating the food. Do they actually get satisfaction seeing them starve?

I’ve been saying this all season. Karla has had heaps of airtime from day 1 despite having very few bracelets. I reckon she wins this.

Who will make it to the million-dollar end game?

First Million Dollar Island grand finalist decided

The unmissable Million Dollar Island semi-final is here! One hundred players started and now only 10 remain. Which three players will have what it takes to make it to the million-dollar end game?

It’s their last chance to stay in the game, and they must give it their all. Will the richest players on the island play it safe or risk everything for the money?

In an emotionally charged semi-final elimination, the richest player will become the first of three grand finalists, while one player faces making the ultimate sacrifice to save a friend.

On Million Dollar Island, alliances mean everything, and friendships are worth a fortune. Ultimately, a nail-biting final challenge will help determine who walks away with their share of the $1 million prize.

Million Dollar Island Semi-Final Tuesday, 7.30pm on Seven and 7plus

So the show was called ‘MILLION DOLLAR Island’ but ended up giving away less than $200k to contestants. I find that frustrating with shows these days that advertise a big potential prize pool but in the end it’s only a portion of that given away. The same thing happened with The Summit.

Also given the concept was about collecting bracelets with a $ value, I thought that at least one person would receive their sum in the end. The fact that it all pretty much came down to how much they were willing to risk (opening boxes containing their money with the risk of getting a bomb and losing it all) was a big let down.

Headline: MILLION DOLLAR Island winner takes home $110k.

I thought the finale was a big let down. I don’t think we’ll see any more Million Dollar Island! I thought the concept was fine. I only started watching because my partner wanted to watch and I still think it would have been better with a local host.

Yeah, that is such a con. Didn’t think they’d give away the full million dollars but assumed the winner would be the person who had the biggest share of it, and they would then win their share when everyone else went home empty handed - so probably a prize of around $400k or so.
