Mick Molloy and Glenn Robbins (Title TBA)

I’m not but it’s a sad state of affairs

Some of the new comedy talent can also be seen on shows like Jim Jefferies & Friends, and the reboot of Talkin’ 'Bout Your Generation.

Looking forward to the Riyadh special.

I am a Mick Molloy fan, he still is the best part about The Front Bar (IMO and as talented as Sam Pang is) and feel he has a long-held fan base, perhaps even some Gen Y and Z too from his later years in footy comedy like Before the Game and Front Bar. He definitely would have one of the larger Australian comedian profiles and is instantly recognisable, appearance, voice and routine. But yes, is probably more for Gen X (give or take) from his early peak days 25-35 years ago.

But I can understand how plenty would feel there are far better alternatives for a new comedy show and so many young up-and-comers who’d be better suited, also gives them a crack. But as one comment above alluded to, would such comedians really have the younger viewers tune-in to Seven, even 7Plus? They’re all on streaming or YouTube or going out to gigs, if anyone in regards to FTA, it’d be 10. Hell, even the ABC from their successful comedy shows the last decade.

There was just a promo for this during the Cricket

Seems like the show is actually going to be called: [insert title here].

This just comes across as Seven has greenlit something that they’ve got no idea what will actually be

They probably think if it worked for Ten and Sam Pang…

Denton did it first.

Instead of these guys Molloy and Robbins Channel 7 should go after Gold Logie Winner Rove because he wants to host a Tonight Show again and I don’t think there’s enough room for Pang and Mcmanus?

Could this actually be…hear me out…an Australian answer to the UK series Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled?

I’ll have what he’s having.

Maybe he could call the show Tonight Live—I mean, Seven haven’t used that title for a show, have they?
…oh wait. Yes. Yes they have.

But hey, it’s not like Rove would ever—you know—lift a well-known, much-loved idea to stage a return to TV, then whip up some “totally organic” social-media engagement and “viewer reactions” to use as promo fodder.
All to boost ratings.
All to validate his career choices.
All to prove he was still relevant.

Oh no, Rove would never do that.
Absolutely not.
Perish the thought.

I think you could be right.
