Metro Radio Ratings - Survey 6, 2023

Did ARN spend big on billboards and commercial TV spots for Gold during the last survey? Quite an increase across all day shifts.

Strange that radio ratings get almost no TV news coverage anymore.

The SCA brands used to own Sydney. They’ve been on life support for over a decade now.

Many a legacy radio station ceased broadcasting (2SM, MIX 1065) on similar ratings that 2DayFM and 2MMM score nowadays.

I honestly believe that 2DayFM and 2MMM would be more successful today if they were not part of a nation wide network that accepts their status as “failed stations”. Let’s just slog it out for another five years.

Imagine if Rod Muir took control of 104.9 tomorrow. It would be gunning for first place within the next few months. Nova Entertainment and ARN would shit themselves.

Maybe with Almost Acoustic Failing on DAB+, Time to revive MMM 90’s and put Almost Acoustic back on LISTNR?

Tradie radio is basically MMM 90s with a few 80s and 2000s tracks thrown in. I actually don’t mind it, it has a good variety of music , probably better than MMM 90s IMO.

Tradie radio sounds like a waste, a duplication largely.

Greg Byrnes must love Seinfeld, all his interviews say very little.
