Who in their right mind thought KIIS1065 Breakfast had hit the floor? Obviously not.
Hmm, not looking great for Gold or KIIS in Sydney or Melbourne. Gold breakfast in Melbourne is also a worry. KIIS in Adelaide heading in the wrong direction too. The “Midas touch” of ARN continues…
Smooth in Sydney is a phenomenon. Should be a wake up call for what ARN should be doing in Brisbane and Adelaide with 97.3 and 102.3
Gold Brisbane (DAB) also down, and flat in Adelaide.
Maybe this will reinforce to ARN that networking Breakfast doesn’t work.
That’s an amazing result for smooth in Sydney pulling away from the once unbeatable 2GB.
4BC is a basket case in Brisbane with just 3.3% with no weekend boost from Continuous call and down in all times slots. The recovery of 97.3 continues, just short of 4BH as Triple M drops - 2.2% down at breakfast.
Probably will loose more share before the final survey of the year. KIIS is nothing without KJO
In Sydney, congratulations to smooth who are number one with 10-17, 25-39, 40-54 and 55 - 64 year olds. Smooth are also in top spot for mornings, afternoons, drive and weekends.
Commiserations to KIIS and Gold where both the cume and ratings have tumbled.
The re-imaged WSFM managed to lose listeners in every time slot and demographic (except 10-17s where they held steady on 4.7%)
Sydney’s Bronze 101.7 with Melbourne’s Best Breakfast Show and Less of the Music You Want to Hear.
Maybe. But they’re not fast learners.
I never understood why they tried to network breakfast on KIIS/Gold in Melbourne & Sydney first. Why wouldn’t they test the waters by networking K&J and C’0C into smaller/regaional markets first to gauge the response. They could have put both on DAB in Sydney/Melbourne respectively before risking their FM stations. The big bang approach is pretty reckless.
Of all KIIS stations rated today… Only Brisbane gained slightly today. ![]()
And still 2day fm in Sydney cannot win a trick.
Fox and Nova were both big improvers at Melbourne breakfast, both reaching 10% share, at the expense of Gold and Triple M.
Nice to see ABC Melbourne’s ratings going up across all timeslots, after a disastrous survey 3.
Another great result for Triple M Adelaide, another ratings win for breakfast.
So Nova 100’s Jase, Lauren and Clint back at No 1 FM and Christian O’Connel on Gold takes a huge tumble with the switch to a networked show.
Here are the overall ratings in ranking order.

ABC Perth’s FM foray drops again. And a big drop in cume.
2day and Nova both flat in Sydney, they’re not gaining any audience off this drop by Gold and KIIS. Too many weak breakfast shows in that market. All terrible options.
And may well slip below Triple M in the next Sydney survey now!
A reboot to the old MIX106.5 and a return to the original ‘easy’ format of the mid 90s to tackle Smooth’s dominance perhaps?!
I was thinking 2Day should be considering a switch to a Smooth format to pick up some listeners. That’s what the station sounded like when it first started.
