Looks like despite their best efforts, 2Day is not the beneficiary of the tumult at KIIS.
7.4 is KIIS’ poorest showing since S6/2018, while 8.1 is the best for Nova since S2/2024.
2DayFM have missed the boat here. Nova96.9 have been waiting in the curtains for this day.
Was not expecting 4BH to be number two station in Brisbane. The market is crying out for a smoothFM format on FM as KIIS slips to 5th place.
I was just about to post about 4BH… amazing, largest showing for any commercial AM station in Brisbane since 4KQ had a 12.5 in S7/2001.
As expected, the stunt of bringing back Robin, Kip and Corey has failed. They were let go for a reason. They do not rate.
Good rise for COC in Sydney!
Surely that is the end of the 2Day FM brekkie show. To have gone backwards when the market leaders has vacated is surely not recoverable?
Surely the penny has to drop soon that 97.3 needs to rebrand to Smooth… Come on Lachlan, are you awake?
ARN could also decide to pull the trigger on Gold 97.3 after the encouraging results in Sydney… although personally I would prefer Smooth.
KIIS breakfast with Mike E slipped in Melbourne to just 5.0. Christian O’Connell doubled KIIS’ share.
Magic and 3MP both posted small increases in breakfast.
Gold outcomes are good in Sydney with CoC in Brekky up 1.7 to 7.2 with only minimal Melbourne audience loss, however Gold Melbourne are losing audience in arvos (-2.0) and drive (-1.5) - not quite warming to Jonesy & Amanda, so I reckon switching off at lunch time. ABC Melbourne still stuffed. SEN and Triple M the big winners in Melbourne, especially SEN breakfast - up 1.8 to 6.0 and Triple M overall now overtaking Nova100 (8.2 v 8.0).
And number 1 on weekends!
Moving ABC stations in Perth from AM to FM has had no virtually no impact. 6RN is still being ignored.
Might spell the end of any internal push to move other metro stations to FM.
But 6PR + 6IX down a combined 2.2 shares… perhaps affected with less AM sharing happening now.
I was just about to make this comment. I feel like it’s too early to assess the ABC move to FM just yet. The drop for 6PR and 6IX indicates some of that audience is moving to the various ABC stations on FM, there might just be a little lag in the results. I’ll be keen to see what happens next survey.
SEN outrating ABC Melbourne should be a five-alarm situation for the ABC.
Meanwhile, the shine has come off for Jase, Lauren and Clint going from 11.1 to 9.4 in two surveys.

Interesting theory. But as a counter to that, 6PR’s cume audience went up by 10,000. And 6IX’s cume only dropped 5,000. So people are still sampling them.
By the way, thanks @HUFF for all the historical contexts you bring!

Great to see Sydney’s Nova 96.9 ahead.
And further improvements with their shift changes.
