Media Watch

I checked out tonight’s episode. Linton is fantastic. Has the gravitas that the best hosts of this show had, but at the same time isn’t boring and can cover the light stuff too.

Was most evident tonight with his strong condemnation of the Daily Telegraph’s conduct, followed by the amusing ridicule of Seven’s horoscope segments.

In a late amendment, Media Watch will be having a break on Easter Monday 21 April.

They usually do take Easter off. But I found it weird that they didn’t announce it.

Lawyers for Roberts-Smith have subpoenaed the ABC to produce file notes or other evidence of discussions between Nine journalist Nick McKenzie and Media Watch host Linton Besser.

Media Watch examined the case against McKenzie in its report on March 31st.

The Australian reports ABC is expected to oppose any application which would require its journalists to reveal their sources.
