We can reveal today that the series will be titled The Seduction in all territories outside of France and will launch in the second half of 2025. Filming continues in France until the end of this month.
I’m not sure whether anyone else has seen the Max ads on CNN but there really promoting it now. They even have a special segment/ad where they interview the stars of Max original tv shows,
The 2025 Max Showcase was held in London on Thursday night local time.
It was announced at the event that the new Harry Potter TV series would commence filming at Leavesden Studios (where all eight HP films were shot) in northern summer of 2025.
On Wednesday, JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming for Warner Bros. Discovery, said at a tech and media conference that the Harry Potter TV series is now expected to premiere in 2027.
Will Harry Potter still be a thing by 2027?
Well, the hope would be to introduce it to a completely new audience and extend its life. The same way they have made a Lord of the Rings TV series following all the movies.
If they do it well, the characters can go on forever. Like Dr Who, James Bond, Star Trek, Batman or other long running franchises.
Max is scheduled to launch in the UK and Ireland in 2026, after the expiry of the current deal with Sky at the end of next year.

Under the deal between Sky’s parent company Comcast and WBD, the ad-supported versions of WBD’s Max and Discovery+ services will be bundled for Sky customers from April 2026.
Also having Comcast’s backing, they’ll be fine (much better position than Foxtel were/are).
