He must have hit his head on the tiles pretty hard (or something like that) to die from something that seems comparatively innocuous at his age.
May have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs which is how a fall and a knock to the head can happen. I know someone younger than that who fainted and banged his head on the glass and was unconscious. But the sound made such a big bang that he was found quickly by his partner and had immediate medical help. But who knows what might have happened if he was on his own.
