ABC just happened to upload those a year ago i think loosely timed to coincide with its 90th anniversary, but have updated the show’s welcome page to acknowledge his passing. They’ve also included episodes of Parkinson In Australia made for Channel Ten in the early 1980s.

Occasionally during my quiz nights when big news happens I share it (because people shouldn’t have their phones!) and last night was one of those, I mentioned about the passing of Michael and there was an audible gasp with that one and people sad about it. The last time there was that much of a reaction was when I shared about Bob Hawke’s passing.

Aussie actor Dominic Purcell, known for being in Prison Break, married Tish Cyrus, mother of Miley Curus and Noah Cyrus. She is also the ex-wife of Billy Ray Cyrus.
They seem to love Aussies. Billy Ray is engaged to Aussie singer Firerose and daughter Miley was married to Aussie Liam Hemsworth.

Zimbabwean cricket legend Heath Streak is still alive, his mother has confirmed.
That is not normally a statement that would make news but in this case erroneous reports of Streak’s death were so widespread, news that he in fact wasn’t is leading news sites in Zimbabwe.
Streak is alive contrary to a host of emotional tributes posted on social media, including one by former teammate Henry Olonga, which led to a long list of publications, including Wide World of Sports, incorrectly reporting he had died.
