New short promo aired during Australian Survivor tonight, revealing the guest line up for this season. Rick Stein (whose show Rick Stein’s Australia premieres on SBS in early April), Curtis Stone and Maggie Beer were among the returnees. Former contestant Justine Schofield also made an appearance. New guests included Jimmy Barnes and wife Jane, and Robert Irwin as previously advertised, plus internet personality Victoria Minell (Recipes by Victoria).
Apart from Lucy, I could see the names of two top 24 contestants via other promos: Annabel and Belinda.

Production won’t be an issue as the stoves and oven use natural gas.
Whatever happened to Mel Leong? She seemed to be a star on the rise there for a while, and then they farmed her out to that dessert cooking show that was quickly cancelled.
Melissa is doing other things. She had filmed a food show in New Zealand and she’s part of Foxtel’s UFC coverage.

It’s just like Katy Perry’s visit to the MC kitchen in March 2020, coinciding with her performance after the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final at the MCG.
But Jimmy and Jane are home cooks too. They have a cookbook
It was one way to get Mel onto something that they thought she would be a draw card only for it to fizzle out unsurprisingly. And then with Poh resonating with the audience she became sidelined and pretty much saw out her contract doing random stuff.
My understanding was that Mel made the decision step back, partly due to the months of filming required for the full MasterChef seasons. She sounded like she was ready to try other things.
