At least this season’s judges will be back next year. Their chemistry were good.
Because they hope and think it will age higher than a normal season. But I too feel it’s quite soon for another back to win series. But I guess for a show that’s been going for as long as Masterchef has, it’s like annual leave… you accrue it at a faster rate after 10 years and can take it every 5 years.
Yeah they did. When the three new judges was introduced to the all stars and the viewers of Australia.
They also did a fans vs favourites season in 2022, which is when Billie won for a second time. Then there’s been returnee’s on Dessert Masters too.
So I’m torn if this is a good idea but have enjoyed all the returnee seasons so far. It will be interesting to see if anyone returns for a third time or if it will mostly be second timers and people from recent seasons.

Is it too many versions of returnees returning? I dunno. They usually do seem to rate.
IIRC the producers opened application for season 17 earlier this year. Maybe they only received a small number of applications from the public so they decided to approach former contestants instead?

Gordon Ramsay is now in Melbourne, filming season 15 of MasterChef US at the MC kitchen at Melbourne Showgrounds. It’s the first time an entire season of the American version is shot overseas.
In an exclusive interview with Herald Sun, Ramsay said he had been filming the show every day from 4.30am. He said he would stay in Melbourne until December 18, before flying home to Britain to spend Christmas with his family.

Meanwhile in Ukraine
The studio used to film the Ukrainian version of MasterChef has been hit in a Russian missile attack on Kyiv. There was extensive damage to the studio but no casualties, the producers of the show said. They added that they are working to keep the upcoming season of the cooking series on track.

Poh is on the cover of the Christmas issue of the Australian Women’s Weekly. The photoshoot took place at West MacDonnell Ranges and Simpsons Gap in Central Australia while the front cover was shot at Rainbow Valley.
EDIT: Poh will also appear on Christmas with the Australian Women’s Weekly 2024 special, premiering on 10 on Tuesday, December 10 at 7.30pm.

Another “Back To Win” series? We had one in 2020. On top of “Fans vs Favourites” in 2022. I’m not the biggest fans of former contestants returning (albeit as a once off series for nostalgic reasons), but 3 seasons from 6 of returnees is too many in this short time frame.
