Married at First Sight

Just cancel it. It’s done worse things to the idea of marriage than same sex marriage ever did.

The next season is supposed to commence filming in July, if we went by past seasons. So I reckon Nine will need to make a decision on the show pretty soon.

A decision about what?

A decision on whether to bring back MAFS for 2027. The renewal was announced at last year’s upfronts, but I think Nine will have second thoughts due to recent scandals that hit both Australian and UK versions.

There is no plan to end the show in Australia. The speculation that it might end is only happening here.

The bigger the scandal, the “better” it is for Nine. They love this type of hype for this show. And the ratings.

It will be on air in 2027.

Well it does. It’s turned the concept of marriage into a game show. And a bad one of that.

Cloaer to arranged marriage, which is a disgusting act in itsself.

Clarifying that your anti-marriage equality views belong in the 1950s.

Your point on MAFS, though, I agree with

What? No, i agree with marriage equality! I voted Yes in the plebiscite.

I was saying MAFS has trivialised marriage. Not same sex marriage. Apologies if I got you confused.

Former MAFS groom Mick Gould has revealed he is engaged to partner Jean Boyd, coincidentally just a day after his former on-screen wife hard launched her new relationship.

Mick was paired with Jessika Power, 33, during 2019’s season 6, who famously chose to stay in the experiment so she could pursue an affair with another groom, Dan Webb, behind her husband’s back.

Just a day before Mick’s proposal was revealed, Jess shared a lengthy tribute to new partner Liam Neilson on Instagram.

The 2027 season should start filming this week, or might have started last week.
