Married at First Sight

Saw the video on Instagram just then.

Someone commented that the woman was also on First Dates.

Joshua Fox (MAFS Funny podcast) usually crashes these weddings, he was at another one, the groom has been on the Bachelorette before, name is mentioned in the comments on that post.

So same old same old.

The wedding was being filmed at the St George Sailing Club in Sans Souci.

Domestic violence reaching its height in the 2025 and 2026 seasons?

Paul punching a wall last year, the near-fight involving Chris at a dinner party that was allegedly cut out due to story reasons to give him a positive departure post-breakup, manipulation tactics used by various contestants? Criminal histories are also not being properly vetted by background checks, where some DV pasts could be caught before they ever make it on air.

In 2025 they promised the show would be more closely vetted to protect the contestants. 2026 kind of proved they actually did jack squat. The show honestly needs reworking before it continues.

They would probably have more success if they matched people from the same state. The first spoiler couple for this next season has two people set in careers but based in Adelaide/Perth.

They seem to keep targeting those in Real Estate also. I guess that’s where most of the egos reside. Probably one industry where asking for 3-4 months off to do MAFS would likely result in a resignation.

You are perpetuating hearsay and presenting incomplete information as fact. We never saw the supposed Chris incident, so it’s not something that can be commented on. With Paul, he admitted fault, apologised and Carina chose to continue the relationship. It would have been a different story if things went the other way.

I’m not condoning this type of behaviour but things aren’t as black and white as you’re making them out to be. It’s easy to create a headline from limited information and gossip but as far as we know, neither of these examples resulted in any serious complaints by cast members, police reports or legal action that would have prevented the show from continuing.

This seems to be the biggest barrier for almost every successful couple on the show. I also find that living in different states is the most common cop out reason for couples to split towards the end of seasons.

Reading between the lines of Filip and Stella’s recent break up, Stella intended to move to Melbourne but had not been able to do that yet as she also had a business in Sydney, so it was something that needed a fair bit of time. It sounds like that ultimately was a big part that got between them.

Once late 20s into 30s most are set into careers, moving for an unknown ish relationship is likely below the priority list compared to a stable job. Some of us have the ability to move within our employers around the place (I’m very lucky on that front) but most can’t.

I was pretty active moving around enjoying the different cities up to around mid 20s then I just wanted to stay put.

The point around not wanting to match someone in the same city (I understand they have said this) because they might ā€˜know each other’ is only the case when they lure all these people from agencies or Instagram world. I guess a whole bunch of these wannabes are on Tinder so likely another factor.

Daily Mail reports Brigitte Zonta aka ā€œDr Lurveā€ is joining the new season as an expert.

Yuck. :face_vomiting:

They could have just kept the two, not sure why even bother with a new one.
