How many words does it take to report that a couple had broken up? Terrible newspaper, terribly written story, so repetitive!
Not defending it but if articles aren’t more than 300 words they don’t/struggle to get picked up by SEO. And that’s really all that newsrooms care about these days/how they get traffic.

I’ve spent the last few days catching up on this season and just finished the latest episode. I know what this show is. I’ve watched it for years. I know it’s manufactured and essentially a scripted drama, however, what I saw in the latest episode has left me extremely uncomfortable. Gia and Brook are both pieces of work but wow, Mel is something else. I’ve never seen anything like her on this show. She has deliberately and actively destroyed the confidence and soul of Luke and her behaviour in front of those women was vile and disgusting. It made me that uncomfortable I’m not sure I can continue with this series and see this man destroyed further. At what point should the production company and Nine intervene? I understand television is made for entertainment but the behaviour of these three women and Mel especially is sickening. It never should have reached the level it did and especially shouldn’t have made it to air for the Luke’s, Stella’s and Alissa’s to have to relive. Horrible, nasty and vile people those three are.

It’s the first Commitment Ceremony of the experiment, and while some couples are eager to reflect on the breakthroughs of Revelations Week, others arrive on the brink.
First on the couch are MEL and LUKE, who recount their turbulent start. MEL doubles down on her disappointment, admitting she feels no spark and had hoped for a fairytale she believes she’s been denied. The Experts challenge treatment of LUKE, with Expert JOHN delivering a blunt wake-up call about open-mindedness. LUKE chooses to stay and fight for the marriage, but MEL shocks the room by writing leave. They must remain another week, with MEL vowing to take the Experts’ advice on board.
Next, GIA and SCOTT revel in their wedded bliss, confidently celebrating their strong physical connection. The Experts are impressed by their early synergy, making it an easy stay. BEC and DANNY follow, unpacking the emotional highs and lows of their intimacy struggles. Despite lingering tension — Revelations Week proves transformative, with both choosing to stay. RACHEL and STEVEN also leave the couch on solid ground, sharing how vulnerability and shared insecurities have brought them closer.
When REBECCA and STEVE sit down, confusion ripples through the room. STEVE contradicts his earlier Red Flag comments, instead framing their relationship as a friendship. REBECCA is blindsided, admitting she wants more romance and doesn’t feel desired. As fears of rejection surface, the Experts push STEVE to meet her emotionally, and both commit to staying.
It’s then BROOK and CHRIS’ turn. BROOK explains how CHRIS’ offensive audition comments stalled their connection. Expert JOHN holds CHRIS to account, and CHRIS admits deep regret. While still unsure, BROOK acknowledges his effort to improve, and the couple agree to stay.
JULIA and GRAYSON appear strong at first, but tension emerges when JULIA stresses the importance of moving slowly. Expert ALESSANDRA reveals the imbalance beneath the surface — that JULIA has controlled the pace, leaving GRAYSON without a voice. GRAYSON finally cracks, admitting he feels the relationship has been one-sided. Though shaken, the pair vow to work through it and both write stay.
When ALISSA and DAVID take the couch, their enthusiasm is met with scepticism from BROOK and GIA, who exchange snide remarks about the authenticity of the relationship. But it’s the final couple — STELLA and FILIP — who trigger the night’s biggest explosion. STELLA reveals that BROOK questioned her sincerity during the Red Flag / Green Flag Task, prompting BROOK to speak up, accusing STELLA of playing the victim. As ALISSA defends STELLA and GIA jumps in, the Experts are forced to intervene as the Brides descend into chaos.
The Daily Fail strikes again. 
I hope Brook and Harry are happy with her behaviour on TV! IMO not a very nice person to put it mildly… but she could, I believe, be from “Central Casting”, just to stir up sh*t. Is anyone naturally just this nasty? Speaking of nasty I think Gia and Scott are one of the most fake couples to ever appear on MAFS and I’m getting worried for Bec, she’s going to twist her chin off.

Problem is he chose to stay. What does that say? He could have been free week one.
It says the producers convinced him to stay and promised him a redemption storyline.
More ait time, more pay to the contestants, right? They’ve all seen the show. And know what to do. The more drama, the better, right?
Why some people take these storylines as true is beyond me.
But I don’t blame Nine for airing this. It’s a ratings killer.
80% of last night’s show consisted of close up shots of faces reacting. To what we don’t know; but they were made to fit whatever the story line was. (Situation normal).

MEL and LUKE agree to reset after their rocky start, committing to a more open-minded approach as they attempt to rebuild. But unresolved issues remain for JULIA and GRAYSON, whose tense Commitment Ceremony spills into a sleepless night, with GRAYSON finally voicing his frustration that the relationship seems centered solely on JULIA’S needs.
As Intimacy Week officially kicks off, the Brides gather for a workshop led by Expert ALESSANDRA, opening up about their experiences with closeness and connection. REBECCA’S heartbreak over STEVE’S lack of affection dominates the discussion, as she’s encouraged to stop minimising her needs. GIA and STELLA speak confidently about their strong physical connections, while JULIA admits confusion over how to move forward with GRAYSON. RACHEL also shares her growing frustration with the lack of passion in her marriage to STEVEN, hoping the week will finally ignite romance.
The Brides are then tasked with creating their Ultimate Fantasy Night — an activity designed to foster intimacy. The approaches vary wildly, from playful and romantic to bold and confrontational, as each couple attempts to reconnect in their own way.
But the results are mixed and confronting. STEVEN devastates RACHEL by admitting he feels no romantic spark and sees their relationship as platonic. STEVE flatly rejects REBECCA’S attempt to reignite intimacy, deepening her doubts. JULIA’S cautious approach leaves GRAYSON feeling stuck in the friend zone, questioning whether real chemistry will ever develop.
Not all couples falter. BEC and DANNY share a genuine breakthrough that strengthens their bond, GIA confidently leads SCOTT, and STELLA and FILIP, ALISSA and DAVID, and MEL and LUKE all find moments of connection.

I watched the first dinner party episode of the season, clear to say it’s all scripted.
