I get all that but I thought at least Jack would be removed for his disgusting remark to Lauren. This kind of misogynistic comment is not something 9 should be using for âdramaâ or their ratings! Jono is just gutless, IMO the other four are just there for their 5 or 15 minutes of fame! I have no idea why Tristan was there in the first place.

His comment was disgusting but I guess it didnât really breach any rules. If someone was removed I think there would have to be concern for safety or for Tori to really want out from it - instead sheâs the one with him and acting like itâs all ok.
To me Jonoâs part in it all is what really fuelled the situation. We know Jackâs character now (how he degrades women) but the way Jono sat there and apologised to Jack (and didnât defend Lauren) is really the appalling part of the situation. Iâm just glad that they got called out for it all.

Episode 18
After an intense Commitment Ceremony last night, one bride has been unable to locate her husband. Since issuing BEN a warning by writing leave last night, ELLIE is unable to find him, and itâs unclear how he will use the next week to turn their relationship around.
LAUREN and JONATHAN are struggling to get back on track after the events of the past week. LAUREN is still feeling unsupported by her husband after the unsavoury comments JACK made towards her at the last Dinner Party. The wound cut deeper when, at last nightsâ Commitment Ceremony, JONATHAN apologised to TORI and JACK rather than LAUREN.
LUCINDA and TIMOTHY are waking up in separate apartments after their tense session on the couch, where the experts called the couple out on their slow-burn style. TIMOTHY feels blindsided by LUCINDA because she agreed with the experts, despite the positive week they had enjoyed together. The argument couldnât come at a worse time for the couple, who head into meeting up with family and friends on very shaky ground.
TORI and JACK are out to prove the legitimacy of their relationship by getting matching tattoos, before meeting with TORIâS best friend LEA, who harboured doubts about JACK on the wedding day. Their relationship comes under fire once more, with LEA learning about the unsavoury comments JACK has made towards other women in the experiment, along with the absence of intimacy in their relationship.
Meanwhile, the newest couples to enter the experiment are taking the next step in their relationships by moving in together and tackling the relationship Crash Course: a set of tasks designed to expedite their progress in the experiment. But as two couples approach the tasks together, one couple has decided to call it quits, leaving the experiment altogether.
JADE opens up to RIDGE in a vulnerable confession letter, and STEPHEN and MICHAEL get closer during the âmelted hugâ task, set by Alessandra.
On the Gold Coast, a loved-up EDEN and JAYDEN are keen to share their progress in the experiment with their Family and Friends, revealing that they are well on their way to falling in love.
LUCINDA and TIMOTHY come together for the first time since their fight and a discussion in the car leads to another argument that spills into their gathering. But with some sage advice from LUCINDAâs father, TIMOTHY regains his sense of humour and realises the importance of lowering his walls to progress his relationship.
Episode 19 Family and Friends
Itâs Family and Friends week in the experiment and whilst some couples relish in the chance to show off their new-found relationship, others are forced to confront some harsh truths pointed out by those outside of the experiment bubble.
As many of the couples celebrate their closeness, for ELLIE and BEN that couldnât be further from reality. After the last Commitment Ceremony, BEN was officially put on notice as ELLIE wrote leave and Expert JOHN warned BEN he had seven days to turn things around. But instead of facing the music, BEN chose to run away from his problems, from Skye Suites and from his bride. When BEN does make his return to the apartment, ELLIE continues to question BENâs intentions. Despite her doubts, ELLIE decides to give BEN one more chance, and BEN takes the opportunity to express his feelings through song. Smitten ELLIE loves the gesture until, later that day, ELLIE is found reeling after a 2-hour lecture from BEN of his list of dislikes.
After TRISTAN wrote leave at the last Commitment Ceremony, he and CASSANDRA are doing their best to get their relationship back on track and a visit with their families is just what the doctor ordered. After a few hard-hitting questions from CASSANDRAâs dad Moddy, especially regarding intimacy, TRISTAN reveals his desire to get out of the friend zone and make the first move. With some encouragement from Moddy, both CASSANDRA and TRISTAN are reminded that good things take time and they just need to focus on each other.
SARA and TIM have found their spark after a rollercoaster start to their relationship. However, TIMâs best friend BEN, fresh from his infamous best manâs speech, has every intention of derailing the cool, calm and collected couple. Both happy with the work theyâve done and their current place in the experiment, SARA tries her best to go along with BENâs digs. TIM does his best to defend SARA and their relationship, which goes a long way in cementing how SARA feels about him. Now with intimacy back on the table, TIM and SARA are firmly back on track.
Despite still living in separate apartments, after an unorthodox conversation between TIMOTHY and LUCINDAâs father Michael yesterday, TIMOTHY appears a lot more optimistic about the trajectory of his time in the experiment. LUCINDA also feels positive post family and friends visit, and as things take a turn for the better, TIMOTHY takes a small but significant step forward by moving back in with LUCINDA, albeit in the self-described âman-caveâ.
The two new couples, MICHAEL and STEPHEN and JADE and RIDGE are in the midst of a crash course week to fast track their relationships. Whilst JADE and RIDGE breeze through the tasks set by the experts, the confessions letter task sees an emotional STEPHEN finally break down his walls and provide insight into his resistance to trust MICHAEL, bringing the couple closer together.
For once loved up couple ANDREA and RICHARD, thereâs been a considerable vibe shift as they hit the halfway mark in the experiment. Although ANDREA believes sheâs putting in effort, RICHARDâs voice of doubt is ringing louder as he interprets ANDREA talking to friends back home as a sign she doesnât want to spend time together. As their family and friends arrive, RICHARD and ANDREA have had their first fight. Over lunch, RICHARD breaks down, and with the support of his daughter ROXY and ANDREAâs best friend KATE-MARIE, this fan-favourite couple are set back on course.
Episode 20 Dinner Party
Itâs the morning of the next Dinner Party and this week has seen our couples grow closer together thanks to the input from their loved ones. Since some hard truths from LUCINDAâs dad, TIMOTHYâs attraction for LUCINDA has grown. But unfortunately for TIMOTHY, his behaviour at the last Commitment Ceremony has caught the attention of JAYDEN who thinks TIMOTHY isnât treating LUCINDA properly and is leading her on. TIMOTHY is also still stewing over the events of the last Commitment Ceremony - he doesnât think kids under 30 like JAYDEN should call him out about relationships or life in general.
BEN is waking up in a separate apartment, after an explosive argument erupted last night, when he read ELLIE a list of his issues with their relationship. But BEN has woken up this morning with a new perspective on the future of his relationship; he wants to repair it. BEN has decided to send ELLIE a gift, asking her to meet him at the beach where they got married. A confused ELLIE contemplates BENâs latest peace offering, while the rest of the couples get ready for tonightâs fourth Dinner Party.
At the Cocktail Party, while others forgive â but probably wonât forget â JAYDEN sits down with JACK and TORI, discussing how little progress there has been with TIMOTHY and LUCINDA and their worries about LUCINDA getting hurt. JAYDEN approaches LUCINDA, asking whatâs changed for her this week. LUCINDA thinks there is something yet to be explored with TIMOTHY. JAYDEN thinks he can see whatâs really going on; she likes him, and he doesnât. LUCINDA feels that JAYDEN doesnât know the facts and reassures JAYDEN that they have had a genuine reset. JAYDEN lets LUCINDA know that she deserves more. Meanwhile, TIMOTHY has overheard this conversation and is angered by JAYDEN.
Once BEN has arrived alone, everyone is seated at the Dinner Party table, and it starts off awkwardly for BEN who is confronted by LAUREN wanting answers since the last Commitment Ceremony. BEN explains his side; he wanted to have a conversation, but it âblew outâ. ELLIE brings up the list he wrote of her flaws and how the first thing was about her wearing make-up. The group is outraged. SARA thinks itâs the most controlling thing sheâs ever heard a man say. BEN agrees it was a dumb thing to say and that ELLIE spends a lot of time in the mirror. The group is furious about this comment also. SARA wants BEN to say something real, to which BEN responds that the truth is he doesnât think he and ELLIE are meant to be with each other and that they are âbetter off as friendsâ. Once more, the group is shocked. ELLIE is upset but realises the BEN sheâs seen tonight isnât someone she wants in her future.
While some couples share kisses, TIMOTHY is eyeing off JAYDEN. TIMOTHY starts up an exchange with JAYDEN; how he heard him say to LUCINDA that she got short changed. JAYDEN explains that he was checking up on her after the last Commitment Ceremony â and why did TIMOTHY tell her not to talk to him?
TIMOTHY believes LUCINDA threw him under the bus that night and LUCINDA agrees that she needs to look at her own behaviour in all this. The group tells LUCINDA to stop taking the blame. JAYDEN asks TIMOTHY if he sees a future with LUCINDA, but TIMOTHY keeps refusing to answer him. The argument starts to get heated; JAYDEN believes his advice should count for something as his ârelationship is near perfectâ. But TIMOTHY yells at JAYDEN to call him âin three yearsâ, what would he know? As JAYDEN continues to talk about his superiority, TIMOTHY tells JAYDEN heâs a âgrandstanderâ and will âhave nothing in lifeâ before slamming his fist on the table. The group erupts.
LUCINDA isnât impressed at the argument and is defensive of TIMOTHY; she stands up for him at the table and explains how their relationship has had a shift. However, she lets TIMOTHY know sheâs not happy with his behaviour. He softens and tells LUCINDA no one else can talk to him like this but her.
TIMOTHY speaks highly of LUCINDA to the table, but TORI is not convinced. TORI looks over at a smiling TIMOTHY and tells him he looks smug. TORI explains that if JACK spoke like that, her âfoot would go down his throatâ. TIMOTHY points out the irony that TORI had no problem when JACK said âmuzzle your ladyâ to JONO. This fires TORI up and she continues to say that TIMOTHY looks smug, leading CASSANDRA to suggest that itâs âjust TIMOTHYâs faceâ and why is she commenting on this. TORI is enraged by this and repeatedly tells CASSANDRA âDonât tell me what I saidâ while JACK tries to comfort TORI.
After last nightâs dinner party I hope Tori and Jack stay together, they deserve each other!

Episode 21 Commitment Ceremony
Itâs the morning of the next Commitment Ceremony and as the couples are waking up after last nightâs tumultuous Dinner Party. JAYDEN is still reeling from the fight between him and TIMOTHY â he just wants to know if TIMOTHY sees a romantic future with LUCINDA. Meanwhile down the hall, LUCINDAâs show of support for TIMOTHY last night has left the couple feeling a sense of unity and respect for one another this morning. As for JACK, heâs been anxious going into this Commitment Ceremony after meeting up with TORIâs friend LEA, who opened his eyes as to how committed TORI has become to her relationship with him.
Tonight, the couples will unpack their struggles and triumphs and make the important decision whether to stay or leave their marriages.
First on the couch is ELLIE and BEN, and the nervous energy is felt around the room as the other couples witnessed the public breakup between the two at last nightâs Dinner Party. ELLIE tells the Experts that since last week when she wrote leave BEN disappeared and when they finally met again a few days later, BEN read her a list of the things he didnât like about her. ELLIE is now left feeling confused as this doesnât match the gift giving and the lovely song heâs written to her â she feels like sheâs going crazy. Expert MEL states that this is the definition of being gaslit. BEN offers a series of vague responses when questioned about his behaviour towards ELLIE, which frustrates Expert JOHN who ultimately holds him to account. In the end, they both write leave.
EDEN and JAYDEN are going strong, but EDEN admits during their family meet up this week, JAYDENâS brother MITCH asked her where she was in the relationship on a scale of one to 10, EDEN said she was a 7 while JAYDEN responded with 9.5. EDEN thinks that she can get to a 9.5 on the scale of love but wants more quality time. She has hope and they both write stay.
CASSANDRA and TRISTAN have had a turnaround since last week. They both write stay. JADE and RIDGE are in a great place this week especially after the confession letter when JADE opened up and RIDGE responded with genuine care. They both write stay.
Next ANDREA and RICHARD are at odds. RICHARD feels like ANDREA wasnât trying this week because there has been no shift since the last time they sat on the couch. They started the experiment being so physical and then intimacy fell off and now heâs left wondering when itâs going to come back. RICHARD announces that he has feelings for someone who doesnât have feelings for him. Expert ALESSANDRA is shocked. ANDREA states that is not the case but her âbubble has burstâ a few times since the photo ranking task as well. But sheâs still here and she still likes him. RICHARD thinks they have the potential to go long term and says that heâs in. They both stay.
LUCINDA and TIMOTHY have also had a turnaround this week. TIMOTHY states that the shift came from the friends and family meeting, especially talking to LUCINDAâS Dad. TIMOTHY says that people in the group have an issue with him because heâs a âslow burnâ thing. JAYDEN pipes up and says that the slow burn thing is getting old, he questions TIMOTHY asking him when does the progress start. LUCINDA comes to TIMOTHYâs defence â they are going at the pace that TIMOTHY is comfortable with and sheâs up for the journey. They both write stay.
MICHAEL and STEPHEN are next. MICHAEL says the crash course this week was a great step for them, but STEPHEN drops a bombshell that while he can see MICHAEL is a good-looking guy on paper, he is not physically attracted to him because MICHAEL is more feminine than what heâs normally drawn to. STEPHEN delivers another blow when he states that he is not confident that the attraction will build. MICHAEL is shocked as he thought they were making progress, but heâs willing to wait for STEPHEN to develop feelings. They both write stay.
LAUREN and JONATHAN admit that they continued to argue about the muzzle comment, but as JONATHAN continued to apologise, they decided to leave it in the past. However, when Expert MEL asks her where she is at now, LAUREN says that at this point she has zero romantic feelings for JONATHAN. Sheâs struggling with the spark in personalities and banter. JONATHAN thinks sheâs amazing, but he doesnât get to see much of that one on one. Expert MEL says they need to get beyond the comfort zone and find a deeper connection. LAUREN and JONATHAN agree, and both decide to stay.
SARA and TIM are up next, TIM says that they are in the best place theyâve been at in the whole experiment, but SARA worries she may be too much for TIM. SARA gets emotional on the couch as in the past she felt that she is too much for people. TIM is supportive â he doesnât want her to feel like sheâs too much for him, this is his type. He says sheâs showing him every day that his opinion matters, and they both write stay.
The last couple on the couch are TORI and JACK. TORI admits that it takes her a lot to get to the point of anger she was last night, but TIMOTHY gets her to a certain point. She says TIMOTHYâs comment to JAYDEN âyou are nothingâ hit a nerve with her and was just as destructive as JACKâS comment, âmuzzle your womanâ, last week. The Experts and other couples look at her in disbelief and Expert JOHN disagrees. Expert JOHN asks JACK how serious his relationship with TORI is. JACK admits heâs seeing a softer side from TORI after the catchup with her friend Lea, and he has concerns he will let her down. TORI admits she is very vulnerable now and if this doesnât work, she will close herself off forever. When JOHN asks if JACK thinks TORI is into him more than he is into her he says, âmaybe a little bitâ. He feels pressured. TORI looks at him in shock and concern. TORI tells JACK, âif you want to go, you should go nowâ⌠JACK tells TORI heâs got serious feelings for her, and he doesnât want to waste her time. She tells him to not waste her time as that would annoy her. Both say stay.
Episode 22
Last nightâs Commitment Ceremony has sent shockwaves through the group as JACKâs revealing comments about his relationship create doubts about his true feelings towards TORI. Everyone is further questioning JACKâs intentions and TORI is feeling uncertain about where she stands.
Down the hall, SARA and TIM have renewed hope in their relationship after their heartfelt conversation on the couch, and TIM commits to showing SARA his assertive side in order to unlock the softer side of her that he desires.
However, as the dust from the Commitment Ceremony settles, STEPHEN and MICHAEL confront yet another challenge. After a shocking incident at the hairdresserâs leaves MICHAEL shattered and STEPHEN questioning his attraction to MICHAEL more than ever.
With tensions reaching boiling point, the couples escape Skye Suites and head to the serene and tranquil Byron Bay for the annual Coupleâs Retreat. For some, this yearâs retreat promises a much-needed break from the pressures of the experiment as the couples spend time together, strengthen bonds, and seek support within the group. Whilst the retreat is a revelation for some, others discover that the intimate setting leaves nowhere to hide, as secrets are exposed, and relationships are put to the test.
No one is more excited about the trip than Byron Bay local, LUCINDA. But when a seemingly innocent game triggers a significant moment of vulnerability from TIMOTHY, he experiences an emotional breakthrough that promises to transform his relationship with LUCINDA.
When information that JACK has been inappropriate with one of the brides comes to light, SARA and LAUREN are determined to break the news to TORI. A Girls and Boys night presents SARA and LAUREN with a rare opportunity to speak with TORI alone to help her see the truth about JACK. The revelation about JACKâs behaviour leaves TORI shocked and ready to confront him.
Meanwhile, as the pressure mounts, SARA finds herself under even greater strain when TIMâs lack of response to a heated altercation between SARA and MICHAEL places their marriage on shaky ground, once again.
Episode 23
After a dramatic start, the Married at First Sight Couples Retreat continues, and despite the serenity of the Byron Bay setting, a storm of conflict, secrets, and lies is brewing.
In the aftermath of Boys and Girls night, the reveal of JACKâs inappropriate behaviour towards SARA sends shockwaves through the group.
JACK has some explaining to do with TORI whilst SARA informs TIM of his friendâs actions only to be concerned by his subdued reaction. Worried that TIM might never become the assertive and supportive man she needs, SARA issues an ultimatum: confront JACK or risk losing her forever. TIM continues to struggle between honouring his wifeâs wishes and facing a confrontation with JACK that heâs unsure he can handle.
EDEN is also grappling with a dilemma â sheâs holding a bombshell secret that threatens to devastate one couple and create havoc in the experiment. Wrestling with guilt and anxiety, EDEN faces a daunting decision: reveal the truth and risk losing her friends in the group or maintain silence and jeopardise her relationship with JAYDEN.
Amidst the turmoil, TIMOTHY and LUCINDA are the picture of hope. TIMOTHYâs newfound vulnerability and openness with his wife has ushered in a new dawn for their relationship and they begin to find the closeness she has longed for. However, just as it seems that TIMOTHY may be able to stay out of the drama for one night, JACKâs body-shaming comment towards TRISTAN at the pool triggers TIMOTHYâs protective instincts and he wonât be backing down.
Tensions escalate and the final night drinks become a battleground as the drama surrounding JACK erupts. For the first time in the experiment, TORIâs trust in JACK wavers as she is faced with the reality of her husbandâs actions.
Little does everyone know; TORI will not be the only one questioning their partner in the aftermath of the retreat. As the group prepares to leave Byron Bay, the web of lies and deceit woven by one participant is on the brink of unravelling. The impending revelation threatens to fracture the group, turn friends into enemies, and leave one groom devastated.

Episode 24 Dinner Party
After an explosive Coupleâs Retreat, the couples have returned to their apartments and are getting ready for the next Dinner Party. For JADE and RIDGE, they celebrated a monumental milestone this morning, when RIDGE was introduced to JADEâs daughter for the first time. Down the hall, TIMOTHY is still upset for his mate TRISTAN, after JACK made a whale reference around the pool at the retreat while he and TRISTAN were in proximity â he wants JACK to answer for it. Meanwhile, TRISTAN explains that heâs struggling thinking heâs the âfat dude in the groupâ. LAUREN is also still frustrated with JACKâs comment and wants JACK to apologise to the whole group tonight.
JACK chats with TORI explaining itâs been hard for him to get past the whale comment but that it was just a joke. He thinks people are getting annoyed by them and that theyâre just jealous of their relationship. Meanwhile SARA and TIM have returned closer than ever after the retreat. But unbeknownst to TIM, EDEN is holding onto information that SARA met up with her ex-boyfriend behind TIMâs back and plans to tell him at the Dinner Party tonight.
At the Cocktail Party, TRISTAN chats with the group about the whale comment from JACK and how heâs now struggling. TIMOTHY is saddened by this, and LAUREN is appalled by JACKâs comment.
At the Dinner Party, JACK grabs TRISTAN and TIMOTHY for a chat. JACK explains he made a stupid comment by the pool, and it was a joke â itâs been hard for him ever since. He then proceeds to give TRISTAN a gift: a voucher for a supplement store and also a keyring engraved âyou are enoughâ. TRISTAN gives JACK a huge hug and says how lovely he is. TIMOTHY looks on, shocked and dubious.
They head back to the table and TRISTAN shows the group his gift. LAUREN is disgusted. JACK explains how he wants to better himself and learn from this mistake. JACK says he wouldnât have said it around TIMOTHY and says he must watch what heâs saying. TORI says she wonât be holding him to the stake for it. LAUREN tells TORI to open her eyes, but TORI asks LAUREN not to insult her intelligence.
SARA announces to the table that she and TIM have made a comeback. As EDEN listens in, her thoughts begin to spiral as she knows information about what SARA has been up to, unbeknownst to TIM. JAYDEN checks on EDEN and they ask SARA and TIM to join them. EDEN tells SARA that JAYDEN saw a message on her phone from her and is giving her the opportunity to tell TIM what she did, otherwise they will tell him. SARA tells TIM she ran into her ex, before EDEN tells her to be honest. SARA admits that she met up with her ex but that it wasnât a date. TIM physically recoils from her and moves away before asking for details. JAYDEN explains the text he saw that SARA wanted an outfit to look good for her ex. SARA says that sheâs still friends with her ex and tries to play down the exchange as innocent â TIM looks distraught and calls bullshit. EDEN and JAYDEN leave SARA and TIM alone to talk. SARA tells TIM that nothing happened and she doesnât know what to say, before TIM walks off.
Meanwhile, EDEN explains to the group whatâs happened. SARA comes back to the table and lets everyone know that she was out with her ex on the weekend. The group is outraged by this discovery and wants answers. SARA explains that she didnât tell TIM because she didnât want him to feel insecure. As the group weighs in, SARA continues to get riled up and denies cheating, saying she didnât do anything with her ex other than have drinks. SARA leaves the table wanting to go home.
Back at the table, TIM explains to the group all the signs he has noticed along the way and that she had slept with her ex a month before the experiment. They are all shocked.
SARA re-joins the table and admits she lied to TIM but denies anything happening. The group and TIM arenât buying her story and TIM tells SARA and the group that sheâs a liar. TIM doesnât think SARAâs sorry, explaining that she hasnât consoled him or checked that heâs ok. STEPHEN asks SARA to confirm a statement he heard earlier: âdid you have sex with your ex a month before the experiment started?â. SARA admits she did.
SARA admits that while her ex had a partner, she did sleep with him, but that she didnât cheat on TIM. JAYDEN explains that cheating is not just physical before SARA begins yelling that sheâs never ever cheated on a partner. SARA walks off from the table alone, demanding that she wants to leave. TIM tells EDEN heâs defeated and doesnât know how he will trust SARA again.
Episode 25 Commitment Ceremony
The couples have had a huge week of relationship ups and downs with this yearâs Couples Retreat, but heading into tonightâs Commitment Ceremony, all thatâs on anyoneâs lips is the shocking revelation from last nightâs Dinner Party that SARA has been catching up with her ex-boyfriend whilst in the experiment with TIM.
The first couple to face the experts is LUCINDA and TIMOTHY, who display a real shift on the couch. TIMOTHY explains that he had an emotional breakdown â or break through â at the retreat, culminating in a deeply bonding hug between himself and LUCINDA. Expert JOHN observes that the couple stands a genuine chance at a romantic relationship, because TIMOTHYâs walls are down. Both write stay.
Next up is EDEN and JAYDEN. EDEN spent the retreat burdened by SARAâs text about planning to visit an ex, and on the couch the couple discussed how EDENâs resulting anxiety caused issues between her and JAYDEN. Ultimately, their struggles were a learning process that has brought the couple closer than ever, and both reveal they have written stay.
When CASSANDRA and TRISTAN arrive at the couch, TRISTAN is bouncing with excitement. He reveals to the experts that he told CASSANDRA he loves her! But the angst on CASSANDRAâs face is hard to ignore, and when pressed she reveals that she doesnât reciprocate TRISTANâs feelings. But it gets worse for TRISTAN when come decision-time, CASSANDRA has written leave, prompting the experts to drive home to TRISTAN that CASSANDRA is slipping through his fingers. TRISTAN will keep fighting for her.
ANDREA and RICHARDâs mood quickly unravels when itâs revealed that the couple havenât been intimate in weeks, and a shared resentment for the state of their relationship bubbles to the surface. Expert Mel suggests that theyâre not listening to each other and that this is a critical point in their relationship. They have both written stay.
Next up is LAUREN and JONO, who are feeling the positive effects of the retreat and their quality time spent together. They have both written stay. JADE and RIDGE are also in a loved-up place, with RIDGE even recently meeting JADEâs daughter. They have both written stay.
MICHAEL and STEPHEN are coming off a tough week, where STEPHEN revealed to MICHAEL that he felt a spark with a hairdresser before they joined the Couples Retreat. Expert JOHN is disappointed in STEPHEN and wonders if he ever gave his all to this experiment. For MICHAEL, the journey has been difficult from the very start and the outcome is deeply disappointing. They have both written leave.
Next up on the couch is TORI and JACK. JACK has once again been at the centre of the drama this week, culminating in his comment at the retreat around the pool that the âwhales are outâ, which offended an insecure TRISTAN. Expert JOHN rattles off the extensive list of JACKâs wrongdoings from the start of the experiment. But while JACK tries to move on, TORI admits her trust for her husband has been shaken. JACK writes stay, and while the group hopes TORI will write differently, she chooses to stay as well.
Last but certainly not least is SARA and TIM. After last nightâs shock revelation that SARA met up with her ex, the Experts want answers. SARA insists that her relationship with her ex has been strictly platonic for years, but Expert ALESSANDRA recalls hearing that SARA slept with her ex a month before the experiment started. SARA attempts to explain herself. When TIM tries to explain how SARA has hurt him, SARA shuts him down. This leads to a discussion about SARAâs fight style and her treatment of TIM throughout the experiment. Eventually, TIM says his trust is broken, and he has written leave. But to everyoneâs surprise, SARA chooses to stay, as sheâs determined to make it up to TIM and win back his trust.
Episode 26
Itâs the morning after the Commitment Ceremony. JADE and RIDGE are basking in the glow of another successful week. For JAYDEN and EDEN, after overcoming their first bumps on the couch last night, their relationship is stronger than ever. LUCINDA and TIMOTHY are also waking up feeling a new level of closeness, after TIMOTHYâs walls continued to come down in front of the experts.
CASSANDRA and TRISTAN have both woken up more confused than ever after CASSANDRA wrote leave and chose to TRISTAN stay. They are unsure where to go from here.
For one couple, last nightâs couch session revealed disharmony in their relationship for the first time. After JACKâs bad behaviours were reeled off by the Experts last night, TORI is waking up unsure if she can continue to stand by JACK and has lost confidence in the relationship.
Meanwhile, SARA and TIM are still in a state of disrepair after the events of the past few days. TIM decided to write leave at last nightâs Commitment Ceremony, while SARA, who wrote stay, has vowed to make it up to TIM. SARA has left TIM alone in the apartment for the morning, and heâs taken the opportunity to write down his thoughts to share. When SARA arrives, TIM delivers a raw and heartfelt explanation of his feelings, which very much lands with SARA.
Itâs the next phase of the experiment: Feedback week, across several days, the couples will participate in a series of tasks designed to help them identify issues in their relationships that they can correct before the experiment comes to an end. The first Feedback Week task is the hard-hitting questions task, and the first pairing is LAUREN and JONATHAN and TORI and JACK who must prepare several tough questions for each other. Itâs no secret LAUREN and JACK have clashed throughout the experiment. LAUREN is sceptical of JACKâs intentions with TORI: they havenât had sex, and she wants to find out whatâs going on with them. For JACK, heâs not interested in talking to LAUREN â he admits that they donât have much respect for each other, and heâs not interested in getting her âfeedbackâ right now.
As LAUREN and JONO hit him with the tough questions, JACK is unflappable, and despite LAURENâs best efforts to unsettle him, he doesnât come unstuck. To her frustration he answers her questions without flinching, and when questioned about having kids with TORI, he responds stating heâd like to have kids within two years. LAUREN doesnât believe his answer and hopes TORI isnât buying it. But TORI â while initially taken aback â turns out to be delighted; heâs said the right thing, and after the drama of the weekend itâs exactly what she wanted to hear.
In another Feedback Week task, ANDREA and RICHARD put aside their recent troubles to design a special task that will help elevate LUCINDA and TIMOTHYâS relationship. With TIMOTHY still living in a separate room dubbed âthe mancaveâ, ANDREA and RICHARD design a task aimed at developing greater physical intimacy between the pair, sharing a bed for the night. After completing the task, TIMOTHY admits he surprised himself and found sharing a bed really comforting. In the morning, he gets up and moves out of the mancave for good.
Not all couples are enjoying Feedback Week so much. For SARA, who is trying to build back her relationship with husband TIM, the hard-hitting questions task with JAYDEN and EDEN could not come at a worse time. For JAYDEN and EDEN â the couple who revealed SARAâs betrayal to TIM at the last Dinner Party â their plan is to hold SARA accountable for her actions. And with JAYDEN and EDEN both nursing their own wounds from their exes cheating in the past, the meeting with SARA will be personal.
The encounter is tense, and while SARA does her best to answer JAYDENâs questions, things intensify when SARA admits to deleting text messages she exchanged with her ex. SARA says she deleted the messages because she didnât want to hurt TIM, but TIM is plunged back into doubt just as the pair was getting back on their feet.
After JAYDEN continues to push SARA, not only on her deleted texts, but on her relationship with TIM more generally, SARA is left feeling attacked and alone, and with no choice but to leave. She storms out down the hall, leaving TIM reeling.
I really dislike Jayden.
Episode 27
Itâs a new day and an early wake up for one couple: LAUREN must unexpectedly temporarily leave the experiment. Sheâs sad to miss out on a week with husband JONATHAN, and heâs not sure how heâs going to handle being all alone. Meanwhile as Feedback Week continues, CASSANDRA and TRISTAN are writing a feedback letter to JADE and RIDGE. They think RIDGE needs to grow up, so they have created âJade Dayâ where he must do all the chores and cooking and JADE can put her feet up. He cleans the bathroom for the first time ever and makes JADE tuna and rice.
Yesterday SARA found herself under intense scrutiny when JAYDEN demanded answers about her ex. Today sheâs feeling helpless and deeply remorseful, and she cries to TIM who doesnât like seeing her upset â heâs willing for her to make it up to him. Meanwhile, TIMOTHY and LUCINDA provide disconnected couple ANDREA and RICHARD with a task; to relive their wedding vows and first dance, in the hopes of reviving their lost spark. As ANDREA and RICHARD re-do their wedding day, theyâre taken back to their perfect first moment and itâs just the reset they needed.
JADE has been tasked with giving JACK some third-party relationship feedback, while TORI will be meeting with JAYDEN for observations on her marriage. JAYDEN tells TORI that he âdoesnât buyâ their relationship and thinks itâs unhealthy that she brushes everything JACK does under the rug. He asks if she sees longevity with JACK and TORI thinks there is, and that if she didnât think so she wouldnât be wasting her time. Meanwhile, JADE asks JACK if heâs slept with TORI yet and JACK says no but feels itâs on the horizon. JADE asks if he would have taken so long if he was matched with someone that was more his type. JACK admits that that they probably would have had sex by now if there was a sexual spark. This revelation does not sit well with JADE.
Meanwhile, SARA is doing her best to win back TIMâs trust with a picnic by the harbour and lists all the things she likes about TIM. He admits to SARA he wanted to see her fight for him and is feeling the warmth.
Later, LUCINDA and TIMOTHY meet with JADE and RIDGE to exchange some hard-hitting questions about their relationships. TIMOTHY thinks itâs a waste of time but asks RIDGE what sort of role model he will be to JADEâs daughter to which RIDGE responds the âbest possibleâ dad as heâs big on family. JADE asks TIMOTHY and LUCINDA next whether they see themselves in a long-term relationship after this. TIMOTHY thinks they are growing and building and still exploring the possibility. RIDGE drops that JACK has told him that he thinks TIMOTHY and LUCINDA are âdoneâ and âchecked outâ. TIMOTHY is outraged and thinks this is âlaughableâ. LUCINDA thinks they are more ahead than JACK and TORI.
Next, the Experts have paired up RIDGE with ANDREA to give a fresh perspective on her relationship. He tells ANDREA she wears the pants in the relationship. ANDREA finds RIDGEâs perspective unsettling and now feels like sheâs questioning everything. When ANDREA relays their conversation to RICHARD, things become tense as he says there is some truth to this claim, and sheâs putting walls up as an excuse for something else. RICHARD wants ANDREA to admit that sheâs not into him anymore and ANDREA feels unheard.
Itâs the final day of Feedback Week and TIMOTHY is still grappling with JACKâs rumours about his relationship with LUCINDA. TIMOTHY doesnât believe in JACKâs relationship and doesnât understand why he hasnât had sex with TORI. TIMOTHY thinks JACK should be held accountable so in the spirit of Feedback Week, he and LUCINDA are going to give some feedback. They write an anonymous letter, calling âbullshitâ on JACK and TORI. With the letter completed, the pair stealthily deliver the letter to them. TORI and JACK read the letter and arenât impressed. TORI thinks itâs disrespectful, and she hates whoever wrote it.
Episode 28
The Final Vows are fast approaching, and the couples are just weeks away from deciding whether or not to continue their relationship beyond the experiment. While some couples are loved up, SARA is more apprehensive, as she prepares to face the group for the first time since it was revealed she had caught up with her ex. She regrets what she did to TIM and wants to continue trying to regain his trust. TIM hasnât forgiven SARA yet, but thinks they are making steps in the right direction.
LUCINDA and TIMOTHY are in a positive place in their relationship but are ready to confess that they are the authors of the anonymous âbullshit letterâ they secretly delivered to JACK and TORI yesterday. TORI thinks the letter was rude and gutless and is determined to confront it head on tonight.
As the couples head off to the Dinner Party, ANDREA and RICHARD are yet to even get dressed, running late due to an argument. Moments of Feedback Week felt hopeful for the couple, but after some feedback from RIDGE, ANDREA is trying to communicate with RICHARD, but itâs not going well. RICHARD thinks ANDREA has ruined what they had and is blaming ANDREAâs traumas from her past relationships. ANDREA is furious, and the argument intensifies until RICHARD walks away.
When the group sits down for dinner, itâs an awkward vibe, so LUCINDA decides to fess up that she and TIMOTHY wrote an anonymous letter to TORI and JACK. TORI says sheâs pissed about the letter and doesnât think their sex life is anyoneâs business, explaining they have a sexual connection. JADE admits that she asked JACK if his match were more his type would they have slept together by now and he said âyes, probablyâ. TIMOTHY asks TORI how that makes her feel, but JACK butts in saying that TORI thinks TIMOTHYâs âa jokeâ. TORI asks the group to trust her, that sheâs âso fineâ and shuts down the conversation.
ANDREA and RICHARD are asked to fill the group in on whatâs happening with them. RICHARD explains how they have had heated conversations that âgot personalâ and âa bit nastyâ and that ANDREA has hurt from her previous relationships thatâs affected them. ANDREA attempts to explain that itâs not past relationships, rather their communication style thatâs the problem, but when RICHARD continues to blame her past, ANDREA loses her composure.
Conversation turns to SARA and TIM and TIM explains that heâs SARA her the opportunity to make it up to him. JAYDEN tells TIM to ârun for the hillsâ. It starts to escalate but TIM shuts it down and asks for the group to respect his decision â he thinks the group is being too hard on her and that thereâs been a change this week.
The group notices that LUCINDA and TIMOTHY seem to be doing well, with even TORI admitting âyou look closerâ. LUCINDA explains sheâs been getting hugs every day and something has changed. TIMOTHY admits that at the retreat something changed and that LUCINDA helped with breaking down his walls. LUCINDA tells the group how gorgeous she thinks TIMOTHY is, which leads TIMOTHY to give LUCINDA a kiss on the lips.
TIMOTHY excuses himself from the table and takes himself to the other room and starts to cry. He has realised that heâs been wasting his time being angry and closed off. LUCINDA goes to find TIMOTHY, and when she finds him crying, she comforts him. TIMOTHY explains that âitâs easy being hated, its hard being likedâ.
