Helensburgh with a bit of photoshop. Looks good.

Omg ripped looking guys, what a surprise!

And girls with an abundance of plastic surgery and enhancements. Who would have thought? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The guy in the towel looks like he may have an enhancement as well

Premieres Monday 3 Feb 2020.

Another promo

These promos are god awful.
One shows a contestant being bullied and ridiculed. That’s disgusting.
The other is sensationalist and overhyped and the contestants look like actors and models.

I thought it was really cringeworthy to show those during Carols by Candlelight.

showing any ads of this show is cringe worthy. Fullstop

That ad with “Connie” was truly awful and clearly exploitative. If her intro was genuine then she is certainly not in any mindset to be in this. And not to mention the crass staged heckling from her family. Just the most vile thing I’ve seen and looks like Nine is slamming back into the gutter with this trash.

No wonder so many of us don’t watch FTA much anymore

I haven’t really watched the major launch promo for MAFS 2020 but judging by the comments made here, it sounds like content which incredibly makes you yearn for the era when Kerry Packer could ring up the network to rather bluntly demand that questionable content be pulled off the air!

Stay classy, Nine…

It wouldn’t surprise me if most contestants on Married At First Sight (and other shows in the genre - let’s not pretend The Bachelor/ette hasn’t got something similar going on) are just in it to boost their media profiles and gain more Instagram followers.

As much as I personally hope Australia finally wakes up to itself (when it comes to TV habits and to some extent, as a society overall) in 2020, it wouldn’t overly surprise me if MAFS continues to rake in the viewers + endless publicity from newspapers, magazines, poppy/gossipy websites, social media, FM radio, Gogglebox and anyone else I’ve missed who gave the show oxygen this year.

Catfights which result in women pouring wine on each others dresses or stories about people with neurological disabilities and their quest to find true love? We all know which of these two received higher ratings during 2019, even though I’d vastly prefer to see more of the latter on TV!

Rant over (for now at least).

Showing a promo for a show named “Married at First Sight” during a concert in support of vision impaired children and their families was in very poor taste.

Just saw that promo for the first time. Fuck me sideways, you couldn’t get any more exploitative or uncomfortable. What is wrong with reality TV in this country?!

Guess I will be avoiding the tennis this year so I won’t see those awful promos

It’s their flagship program that rates its tits off and mostly because of the promos. It looks good! dumb, fun, entertaining beautiful vacuous people trying to find love (like its hard for them)

What’s love got to do with it?
