Love Island Australia

I’m guessing that given 75% of the shows audience comes from streaming, they might think that releasing it earlier gives viewers more opportunity to watch on the day it airs. Therefore boost the numbers in overnight ratings. Especially when Big Brother is doing well in younger demos now.

What was with that dumping of Isabel and Connor? They were pretty much the only genuine couple on this show and I’m reading today that they are still together. Good on Connor for going with Isabel, even when she handled herself badly with the dumping. You could tell as a couple they were pretty serious. I just can’t see many others this season that will last beyond the show.

Her interactions with Mia last week was her downfall. We saw a mean girl side to Isabel that viewers clearly didn’t like.

Yeah but that wasn’t reason enough for them to go. They were the only couple there that felt real and genuine. The question they voted on “Who is your favourite islander?” should have been more like “Who is your favourite couple?”. I think they then would have stayed.

Now I see that they are bringing back Dylan from last season. Why him? There are far better previous contestants they could have brought back if they wanted too. I would actually prefer they brought someone back like Lacey, she would stir things up.

Finale will air 7.30pm

On Monday the 15th I suppose?

The finale on next Monday will now air at 8.30pm, according to online guides.

To be honest, it doesn’t matter when it airs on TV if it’s still released on 9Now at midday.

The audience figures will still have that 1:7 ratio.

Actually they haven’t been releasing the finale episode on 9Now early for a few years now. It drops on 9Now after the 9GO airing.

YANA AND KYE WIN LOVE ISLAND AUSTRALIA 2025

Yana and Kye, who were bitter exes and never thought they would end up back together, let alone united on national television, have been crowned the winners of Love Island Australia 2025.

In a tear-jerking experience for the two Islanders, they have come out the other side as an exclusive couple, thanks to Love Island Australia and the theme this season, “wicked sins”, forcing them to come face to face with their past and work through their challenges singly and as a pair.

Yana, from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, said: “Sharing my Love Island journey with Kye has been incredible. We have grown so much together throughout this experience. Kye has been my rock in the Villa, and we’ve learnt so much about ourselves, which has led us to a deeper understanding and level of respect for each other. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.”

Kye, also from the Northern Beaches, said: “Walking out of the Villa with Yana and a win feels wonderful. She brought out the best in me. I’m grateful for every moment we shared, for all the life lessons and personal growth, and I can’t wait to start our life on the outside together. Stay tuned for our next chapter.”

The top five couples were tested as individuals with the question: who was in it for love, and who wanted the money? With $20,000 up for grabs from host Sophie Monk to leave the Villa immediately, in a Love Island Australia first, bombshell Dylan shocked everyone by choosing to take the money, reducing the final cash prize for Yana and Kye to $30,000.

Season seven has been the most watched Love Island Australia series and has received the highest number of finale votes. It has seen significant year-on-year growth with the launch episode recording a whopping 680,000 viewers on 9Now. Season to date, Love Island Australia 2025 has recorded an average BVOD audience of 627,000, and 959M minutes streamed.

Love Island Australia is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the 9Network.

9Go! is showing Love Island UK Season 11 from Tuesday 27 January (post midnight overnight). It has previously screened on 9Now.

Meanwhile Love Island All Stars got off to a late start this week in the UK after being delayed by wild fires in South Africa.

According to @blackbox Love Island Australia could be moving from Spain to Fiji.

Word has reached Media McKnight – from a very trusted source – that production is planning to move away from its current filming location in Mallorca (Majorca).

The most likely new location – although not yet confirmed – is Fiji, where Love Island USA is filmed.

A move to Fiji would allow the Australian production to be closer to home while still leveraging infrastructure already used by other international versions of the franchise.
