That’s last seasons press release.
Thanks - couldn’t tell the difference
Love Island Gold Coast
I actually thought he was a lot of fun compared to the usual contestants. He will probably become annoying over time though and I couldn’t imagine living with him.
Is there a reason that Chris is on the initial cast list but was not featured in the first episode? I was wondering if he was pulled last minute or if he will come in tonight.
Former AFL player Mitch Hibberd enters the villa on Wednesday’s (October 13) episode. His AFL career was ruined by injuries, playing only four matches for North Melbourne from 2016 to 2018, then another five matches for Essendon in 2020.
I enjoyed the shorter episode much more last night and hope it stays that way. This show is perfect late night viewing for me if the episodes aren’t super long.
I really don’t like that Ryan guy. I just don’t see the appeal, it’s pretty obvious what he’s there for. Ari being so attached to him after two days is pretty ridiculous too. This is someone that hasn’t had a relationship for 7 years wanting to settle with a guy that’s been with 500 girls.
I do like Ronni and Tina. They seem pretty genuine at this point.
Still don’t know why Today isn’t using this space!!
Continue the fun at the Afterparty
Can’t get enough of the cheeky antics happening on Love Island Australia? Each Thursday night join host Abbie Chatfield and a bunch of celebrity superfans as they dissect all the lusty and loved-up highs and lows from Love Island Australia on Afterparty – premiering tonight at 9.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Afterparty will feature the latest gossip, behind-the-scenes stories and exclusive interviews and is your surefire way to debrief and stay up to date with what’s happening and about to happen in the Love Island Australia villa.
In tonight’s episode, Abbie chats to everyone’s favourite islander, Taku, about his journey so far, and she will be crossing live to Sophie Monk for the latest news from the villa.
Other special guests joining Abbie for the premiere are former Beauty and The Geek contestant Lachlan Mansell, Sydney Morning Herald and Sun-Herald gossip columnist Lucy Manly, podcaster Rowdi Waldron, and Love Island Australia season one islanders Josh Moss and Amelia Plummer, who found love on the show and tied the knot in 2020.
I gotta give it to Abbie, she’s done a fantastic job as host. I thought she was great.
Not feeling the use of the Sport set at all. Not as multi purpose as it probably should have been when it it was built. I get concrete slab vibes. Seems odd to host the show in it
How did Abbie go for her first hosting gig?
Based on the overnight ratings, not well. Not even the key demos were good.
This should air on Stan and try to drive subscribers there to watch the show ad free, similarly to how CBS do it with P+ in the US.
At best if it remained on FTA it should probably air on 9Go! With a channel change advice for viewers after the main channel broadcast.
I think 9Now would be the place.
I agree that’s what they should probably do as they don’t seem to mix Stan with their FTA audiences other than sport, but still think a show like Love Island would do well to drive and retain subscribers on their SVOD platform.
After Party was pretty tacky and lame. It was complete filler content. I think I’d rather a slightly longer Love Island episode on Thursdays than this.
I think it should be on 9Go at best (after Survivor US). Its rating on the main channel on Thursday was diabolical.
These companion shows work best on multichannels. Talking Married was massive for 9Life 2 years ago.
It was basically the same as Love Island After Sun in the UK. I didn’t mind it.
Does anyone else just find Ryan annoying? I don’t buy that he has slept with over 500 people.
